8 cans @ £5.70 = 71p each, in ASDA using the £30 vouchers mentioned before, you can get 40, 300ml bottles for effectively £14 = around 35p each... Obviously, I'm not comparing like-for-like, but the cans at your local would have to be over 600ml to make them better value.

(I much, much prefer bottles though - but thats a personal preference thing).

You are right, though - if I wanted to walk into ASDA and buy 8 cans or bottles of Kronenbourg, they would cost me a bit more than your local.

The local booze corner-shops are normally cheaper than supermarkets... but be careful, my girlfriend bought some bacardi breezers recently that were best before Aug 2003  not usually the case with lager, but always check!

    Search the discount voucher forum.

    (it's actually a £10 voucher on a £30 spend... a £10 on a £35 spend and several £10 on £50 spends... but just register more than once).

some tesco's have absolut cut (pre-mix vodka tonic) for 25p a bottle :)
    in the reduced sections.

Lidl's so called 'bitter' @£2.19 for 4 is way closer to tasty lager than bitter, and real cheap all the time :)

and Tesco's have a half decent offer on their 20's of Stella if you only drink posh beer :)

Its worth remembering to check the price per can while offers are on - its easy to assume the price per can will be cheaper on a 24 pack than the 18, 12 or 4 pack, but sometimes the offers are only on the smaller packs and 6x4 packs can be cheaper than 1x24.
