O2 balance text

I have a three phone which I got unlocked and am now on O2 - Nokia 6500 slide.
Every time I send a message my phone bleeps back with another message showing my balance. Is there any way to stop it bleeping every time it shows balance ???

Are you requesting a text balance, or are you being sent one, everytime you text a friend?

If you want to change the text alert tones, then you will need to look into settings-profiles, should be an option in the menu on the phone.

have tried setting profiles but there doesnt seem to be an option to turn it off ........

Its set by the network, you need to contact customer services.

Hi Bobs,can i just ask where you took your nokia 6500 slide to get it unlocked and how much they charged?I am on 3 network but want to goto orange as my friends seem to have no network problems like me.Contract runs out very shortly.

Ring 3 customer services from your mobile - they unlock it while you are on the phone by giving you various things to key in - costs £15. Apparently non of the unlock codes you get online work for these phones.
Took about 20 mins for them to do it - they actually were quite helpful in talking me through.
I changed to O2 as all my friends/family are O2 so works out much cheaper for me personally.

Ring customer services 4445 from mobile or 08705 678678 (https://www.saynoto0870.com ?) from home and ask for them to switch it off. I changed to o2 recently and got them to switch it off today too - so annoying!
