I saw your pic on Facebook, so exciting! I bet was great to see the little one.
Bless your OH for buying you the maternity clothes.0 -
Hey anyone still about...everyones diarys have all gone a bit quite recently not just mine!:D
We went to look at a 1 bed house to rent today, the kitchen is teeny tiny! But the bedroom is a good size plus it has tones of storage. So we said we'd like it and went and filled out all the referencing forms and gave over £200 for the pleasure! If all goes well we will get the keys for 15th May!! OH's birthday!
We're having to pay month and halfs rent for deposit! Thats £895 and a months rent upfront £595.
It was up for £625 when we looked but whne we called they said the price had been reduced to £595. Bonus! It also has a shared driveway to the side of the house so that will keep my lil car happy!
It has a fridge, microwave, and bed frame staying. Also a washing machine but thats broke! Typical! So all we really need to buy is a sofa, as everything else i am taking from my room at home.
So its all go here!

Well done on finding a house, thats quit expensive for a 1 bed but then I don't know your area, mine was only £450 when I rented alone.
Glad all is going well with babyNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
That's great news! Everything is really coming together with you. 1 beds around here go for £600-£800, so I'd guess it's probably average for the area. I bet you're really impatient to move in, I know I would be

Thanks girls!
Yeah thats cheap for a house here, most 1 bed flats are that kind of price sadly.
OH told the agent about the CCJ he has so he gave us a form for a guarantor just incase his credit check fails. He said theres always a way round it if you have a CCJ on your report. OH's dad will do it no problems for us.
Yeah i cant wait to move in there but i will miss home terribly i think, espically seeing that i have to leave my dog behind. But im still in the same town so can visit all the time.:D

Great news Maria,
I find that the renting market went down the last couple of months, our landlord hasn't increased our rent for over 3 years on our one bed flat, we still pay £650 and we are in zone 2 in London. The flats in the next house have been on the market for the same price for over 6 months and they can't rent them out (newly decorated ones)-good for us as no neighbours to disturb us with noisy music.
Will the landlord fix the washing machine? Do you need to buy much? I 'm sure you can't wait to move out, being with only OH is the most precious thing, it's just so special, I love every minute of it and we've been living together for 6 years now!0 -
That is fab news about the house Maria, I bet you are all excited about making it all homely for your little family.
Wow Kavics that is amazing. Our old two bed flat in zone 2 was 1250 a month!0 -
Hello
Well my credit check and ref went through fine but as expected OH's didnt so we had to put his dad down as a guarantor. He called the landlord who said thats fine so we sign and get the keys 2moz at 12! :j
No the landlord isnt fixing the washing machine his taking it out and just leaving the fridge freezer, microwave and bed frame.
BUT... as you must of read my OH's nan and grandad are very generous (they gave my OH his £10k a couple of years ago which his saving for our house deposit) and they have said they will buy us whatever sofa we want and depending on how much that is maybe also the washing machine too!:T:j
We have been searching for a sofa, found a nice leather recliner one in Harveys but then saw watchdog last night and have changed our minds about them! We've seen a similar one in Argos and its only 5 days delivery compared to 6 weeks harveys! Its not as nice looking but i cant be sitting on bean bags too long with this growing bump!:D
Not only that but we bought a dining table and chairs and my parents have given us the money for it as a pressie. And then my OH got home to find a £170 saucepan set, ironing board, huge cuterly set, duvet set, bale of towels sitting on his bed from his parents!
And i have a tone of stuff under my bed which i have been collecting up a couple of years in the sales like iron, toaster, knife block, cups, dinner set etc.
THEN....my brother has said i can have my nephews cot, wardrobe and chest of drawers with changing table on top! Which im sure cost them alot when they bought it new as it gorgeous! So all the big things we need have pretty much been paid for by our familys! We're very very lucky!:A
Ive just bought contents insurance as they wont give us the keys without having it. I got a quote of £64 a year and went through quidco i should get £50 cashback!!! So only £14 for the year!:D:D
Bump is doing well so far im 15 weeks this sunday, and bump is really showing already!
