Kavics- yes do a diary! Helps with motivation, i didnt know you had one before!
Nicki- I got a nice percy pig cup in a percy pig tin for christmas, so will use that tin. Although, i wont have pound coins to go in everyday so will be putting in say £5 or £10 note and then marking the pound off the calender.
have you got any containers left over from christmas?? We have tones of twiglet round box's with lids etc lol, just a thought. I saw one person was using a pringles container.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
I used to love percy pigs
. I think I'll be doing the same as youas I won't always have the pound coins either, I might just aim for £1 a day and put an extra £1 in if I have a lot of change hanging around which happens now and again, then it will be a kind of surprise how much I have at the end. I'm trying to think of an old food container, I'm sure I'll find something. We did have a pringles tub til the other day which is annoying because that would have been good.

Sealed pot is great, but not when you need to pay the change in the bank:). Went today with 50 £1 coin and the lady was really loud telling me that I should have put them in a bag,and than started to count them one by one very slowly:).0

Are you waiting till January to start your challenges then Maria? I keep thinking i should start now, especially the £1 a day challenge, easy way to make £365 for Christmas next year.
Sounds like you have had a very productive day, i need one like that. OH is back at work tomorrow, so it may just happen tomorrow.
P.S - Percy pigs are the best! I ate 5 bags of them in one week, they were on offer, whoops! The very best things in life ... are free!

I wish bank people weren't so mean somtimes, I've never had problems with paying in coins but I know a few people who have been told off.
I was never big on the fizzy sweets, or the jelly ones to be honest, but I did love those pigs, and the foam bananas and shrimps. They don't need gelatine, they aren't even jelly!! I've had a look for a pot, nothing has presented itself yet but I'm sure if I have a better look something will turn up.Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Wow, 5 bags is impressive Hayley! Though to justify it, they aren't huge bags...Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470

How could I have known that I had to put them in a bag? I've never had a piggybank in my life till this November
. She gave me 10 bags for future but I'm sure I will choose a different branch:).
Girls, stop talking about sweets, I just went round my friend's house to find some, and nothing. She is watching Avatar tonight so I won't be at home before midnight to eat some-where is my inner strength?0
