Thanks BTD :) I've been a bit bad today, but managed to leave half of my chips and only ate the fish - not the batter :A (I did have a few too many biscuits though, so it'll be an ultra strict week this week )

Yes, IMD it was a gorgeous day and we all came home with smiles on our faces and sand in our hair........bliss.

We did get fleeced at the funfair though, so it wasn't exactly a cheap day. The kids kept thanking us for taking them, so it was well worth it - though it made me feel very guilty about how little we take them for days out these days :o

I'm kicking myself as I ordered something online this morning and forgot to go through Quidco. It would have netted me £7

    Hope you've had a good day :)

Don't feel guilty about taking them out less often......look how much they appreciate it when you do.

If you took them out like this every week, they would very quickly expect it, and I bet the appreciative thank yous would soon dry up, or at least be said automatically, not with real feeling.

Glad you all enjoyed your day :)

Thanks, it was so cute as they were absolutely delighted and it's true, they probably didn't appreciate it as much when we went more often....

Hope you've had a good day Hypno :)

Glad you enjoyed your trip out, its a nice change sometimes.

We were fortunate when DS was small as we could get the train to the beach, and other than ice cream there was nothing else to spend money on, happily played in the dunes all day. You can't beat fish and chips by the seaside though!

    Hello, thanks Gill
Shattered today. Went to bed late after ironing and getting all kids clothes ready for today (whilst DH laid on the bed watching Wonders of The Solar System ). Got up to little DD a few times in the night. So slept through my alarm, therefore no exercise done.

Monday is always a busy day at work and I'm away tomorrow for a couple of days, so have to prepare everything here before I go - including an Easter Egg competition (which I have to admit I have turned into "competitive parent" judging by DH's disapproving sideways glances :o).
Last night it was bun making for today's coffee afternoon. Trying to track down bun cases at 9pm on a Sunday evening is no mean feat!

In other news, DH and I have had a tetchy discussion about money - where does it all go etc etc.......I got in, fed the kids, put them to bed and he went for a run, so I guess that conversation will be put off until another day. I feel like I carry the mantel of kids, house and finances - yet whatever I do is not enough. *sigh* Just tiredness I think.

Off to see if I can win big on the scratchcards. I won't hold my breath!

Yup, I think many on this site can relate to that feeling. Hugs to you. Hope the next couple of days go ok!

*waves hand* Yup i can relate to that! My OH picked me up when i said i was going to treat myself to some clothes when i go back to work. I pointed out to him that i don't have money each week like he does for myself. He doesn't get much, but something's better than nothing. Any money i have goes on house, bills, children, food etc I wouldn't mind but he wastes his money (in my eyes) on cigarettes, sometimes a night in the pub and football bets! It's a Grrrr at men day for me today!

Hope work is going ok. Are you working far away from home?
One step at a time ;)
