If you fancy something more spanish than tourist, but still with lots to do try Guardamar. I have also heard Altea is very nice.

Tripadvisor is good for reviews of apartments etc.

ok think its going to be Los Alcazares in the murcia region of spain - didnt realise you could book ryanair flights for next august already

is there any likely hood of these flights being on sale or discounted or should i just get them booked ??

Good morning Daisy,

We have a two bed apartment in Villamartin Costa Blanca, with views over looking Villamartin golf course front and back, option of two airports, with the nearest being Murcia airport which is 20 minutes away, Alicante airport is 45 minutes away.

I would say this, depending on where you go, by the time you have paid for transfers to and from the airport it would only work out a little more to hire a small car even in August, then you have the option of doing some sight seeing if you wish, there is some lovely places to visit.

we go here http://www.apartmentmazarronspain.co.uk/ Puerto de Mazarron is just beautiful - very Spanish and very relaxing. These appartments though are on the top of a hill about 15 mins walk from the beach and seafront but 5 mins from nearest bar and shops. Nearest airport is Murcia and transfers both ways are aboyt 80 euro all in.
