spainish resorts

sorry folks am after some recommendations please

have booked main holiday for next year - 2 weeks in cuba next may/june
and am after a cheapy week in august

we normally go to portugal but the place we go to is usually around £750 a week in august - not the cheapest

we are after an apartment complex with privately owned apartments and swimming pool/s close to the beach and a fairly short transfer time - was thinking alicante or malaga airports
its a ''flop and drop'' holiday for 2 adults and 2 children - 12 and 14
dont really want to hire a car and would love a beach in walking distance
doesnt need to be busy - relaxing with sun is the order of the day so a few bars/restaurants would be fine

so any ideas would be welcome - many thanks

If you select the province of Alicante for instance you can select the town you want to be in. Same goes for Malaga etc too.

Mojacar on the costa almeria,lovelly beaches not too touristy and plenty of private rentals available within 5 mins of the beach.

airport is Almeria

was hoping for some personal recommendations on complex's or private rentals

Benalmadena offers lots of choice.
No need to hire car - 20 euros taxi ride from Malaga.

Dependant on where u want to go in Alicante ... The area of Qusadas nice , its a bit ex pat area so some lovely restaurents and you can venture into alicante and benidorme for the activities .

many of the Villas have swimming pools ideal for lazy days ..

Lamo I sound like an advertisement , we stayed in the same one for 5 years running now , unfortunatly cant remember the URL ...

have stayed in benalmadena and found it a little ''blackpooly'' but that was 14 years ago ....
has it changed at all ?

we had a villa a few years ago was lovely private pool and all that but we all got a little bored of each others company after a few days - well hub and i were ok but the children wanted other children to interact with so thats why we thought a complex ?
