    Hi

I passed my test back in December and got a 1997 (R) mitsibishi colt 1.3 GLX 3 door for my first car. Valued by parkers at around £1500 ... purchased at £1050

They are well built cars which is what they are known for but spare parts are more expensive. Swings and roundabouts.

I love the car :P You don't see too many of them. In my 5000 miles I have done I seen about 3-4 of them around. Ebay do have a few on sale if you want to see what they are like.

I'm 24/m ... 23 when I got it. I got my insurance through screentrade after seeing it was the cheapest using moneysupermarket and confused. I did take my passplus immediately after passing which I know has saved me a few hundred.

If you are worried about insurance and MPG then get yourself a glasses/parkers guide and have a look at what groups certain cars are in. Which is what I have done in the past when we had to buy husband a newer car.

But I have feeling they are not putting in pre 96 cars in any more though. Even on-line.

I use to drive a Greg seat Ibiza 1.2 it was group insurance 7. My husbands S reg Daewoo Lanos 1.6 is the same insurance group

    I could not believe it.

All the best in what you ever get.

    Yours
