  • I'd like to declare at €467 please - DH did the final shop on Sat and I know he only spent €25 cos he was bragging about it. And he had already managed to get a free Xmas tree (only 4', but real when we were going to resort to the fake this year!!) earlier in the morning as he was in B&Q and buying enough stuff anyway (didn't even know about it till the girl at till told him to take the tree, he'd bought enough!!).

  • I would like to declare at £302.21 for November please! £47.79 under my official budget, and only £2.21 over my unofficial one, so I'm pretty damn pleased!

Still trying to work out what to put down for December...

  • Well, my last day and I've not really kept proper track in the last 2 weeks. I do know that I came in at around the £200 mark including a lot of Pepsi and pringles from Morrisons deals. I've also bought a couple of Xmas pressies and some Xmas food from supermarkets too which is included in this total, so I'm happy enough - paid for my dishwasher, which was my intention!
I'll bow out for December, I've no idea what we are doing over Xmas - might end up at inlaws:eek:, so I'll need to factor in travel instead .

Well done to those who made it under budget, and commiserations to those who didn't quite make it - it's not a race, it's an ongoing challenge and I reckon if you are now looking at what you spend on food, you're likely to be spending less anyway, so good luck for the coming months - as someone says baby steps!

    It's only a game

Allowed myself to be tempted by 3 more Whoopsie items in Mr M tonight (on my way out of work), so have overspent by exactly £6.00 this month

    declaring at £99.80

However, I'm not concerned as I'm still under my 'annual to date' target :)

Figures for the year so far now stand at
    Budget of £1211.45
Actual spend of £1198.25 (so I'm actually under budget by £13.20)

Actual spend includes a total of £366.67 spent of Whoopsie items, with a shelf value of £1340.70 - meaning my £1198.25 spend has bought me goods worth £2172.66 :T

Only 8 NSDs in November, but this brings my total to date for 2009 up to 122

    Allrighty, ready to declare....

November: £191.29 .... meaning I am £41.29 over budget (and it was just a 2-week month for me!)

As a 'punishment', I have revised my next GC budget down from the £300 I would have wanted it to be to .... £ 258.71 for December.

(Basically I have taken out the amount I've over-spent in November)

I know it's a funny figure but it's all done on Excel so it's easy to keep track of it. I'm assuming the philosophy that every penny counts: If I go over budget I must make up for it the following month - if instead I happen to save some money, then I must save that up in a savings account immediately. Yes! I'm that determined!!!
