Last night I have been reading on xbox.com that Asda is maybe doing a deal, however they are not saying anything, as they dont want their rivals to know.

I have a sneaky feeling, that we will be getting a decent deal for MW2 somewhere!

btw: WHoever lives in Glasgow/Motherwell, there is shop called G-Force, an independant retailer. They might be selling the game as early as saturday, if the game is in... but you pay more that kind of service as they stick to the RRP £54.99 until the game is available officially...

Edit: JUst found a post on hotukdeals that Sainsbury might be selling the game for £26!

I actually work in Motherwell and just passed the shop at lunch time there!! Sadly I don't have an xbox so I'm going for the PC version :( Need to speak nicely to the wife and see if I can get an Xbox sometime....

She actually pointed me out to an advert for Asda last night which was selling a bundle for £197 (not as good as the Amazon deal posted on MSE a few weeks ago!) but a good deal nonetheless.

I wonder if that means she is wanting me to get one.... Hmmmm :D
  • ?Have you looked at gamestracker.com? you can track the price from several places and get emails sent to you with lowest prices.
  • Just a heads up to you guys who are possibly getting the game early. My OH runs his own indie game store and has had to sign a very strict street agreement saying that he won't sell nor play it early. We have been warned that anyone caught playing it online will be banned immediately same as when the Fifa's/Halo etc came out.
Not worth the risk, especially if you love your gamer tag.

Anyone got any news on cheap pre orders or anywhere advertising a good price for this when it's released next week?
Cheapest I've seen is on 365games.co.uk for £43.99.
    Cheers! :money:

Your probably a bit late for the best price to pre-order now. Some people managed to get it for about £36 from Tesco a month or so back.

coolshop.co.uk have it at £39.99 but your probably as well trying to get it on the day as there are rumours that Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury/Morrisons will be selling it cheaper on launch day. Amazon might also price match them when that happens but that would obviously mean waiting a few days for delivery from them. The supermarkets won't release their prices till the day before at earliest

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but this is complete and utter rubbish! MS can not ban you, because someone sold you an ORIGINAL copy of a game, even though its not out!

They prob reset the stats for Multiplayer, yes, but thats the most they can do.

Apart from that, the only problem is with the shop owner, who sold the game, however thats not my problem...

I have had play.com send me games days early prior to release, so no worries there.

I tried to pre order from ASDA yesterday, but they have closed their pre ordering for MW2.

I'm going to ASDA @ 10pm for 12am release. Sad, But i'm hoping for a good supermarket price deal on the game.
  • Gamestation are doing an offer involving trading in two newish titles to get MW2 for 4.99. I thought it was a great offer as I owned one of the titles and knew that I could also buy that same title cheaply online.

However now Gamestation have said (from Head Office and in store) that they will not accept taking in two of the same title in the offer. HO said it was up to the store and my local store have said they wont do it.

There is nothing specific in the online and store T&C regarding this but rather a blanket statement of stopping any offer without notice.

Can anyone advise on this? Surely ending the offer means just that meaning that all of that offer cannot be implemented.

Its sounds as if theyve realised their offer can be exploited and are refusing to honour what theyve advertised.

does anyone know if any retailers plan to have a price war on this game when it is released or are they all in it together and all going to charge £44.99?
i'm not interested in online shops by the way.
