Hi guys,
I had a serious moment last night and dropped my phone down the loo! I dont even know how it happened, it just fell out of my pocket.
Anyway, luckily I think I am due an upgrade, so even though the phone has gone to a watery grave, I should be able to get a new one. However I was wondering what would happen if my sim card turned out to be broken as well. I havent been able to try it on a different phone. I really want to keep my number and the same contract, so do you know what I could do if it is broken?
Any advice would be great. Thanks

Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

having plenty experience of phone vs Loo the sim's have always been fine with me...even dropped phone in a coffee a while ago (dont ask!)
IF the sim turns out to be faulty (which I doubt) your network provider can provide a replacement sim for youWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Call the network and tell them sim broken or something and you want a replacement. Bob's your uncle and Mable's your Auntie....0

Phew, that sounds good, so if I go down to the local phone retailer this afternoon and pick up a new phone hopefully the sim should work? Should I tell them the last one met a watery fate, or wait to see if it works and if not get them to replace it?Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! Ahh bless. I never understood how anyone actually managed to drop their phone in the loo until yesterday! If you could have seen my face I am sure it was a picture! :eek:Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -

Whether the previous one works or not, you should get it replaced after its gone into the loo - its likely to be damaged in some way or form and possibly a bit smelly0 -

This has the makings of a new sitcom :rotfl:
By the way the phone might still work - leave out to dry by itself for a few weeks.0 -
It would not have happened if you had been a man.
He would have put the seat down after him!I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Yerh I am always getting in trouble for not putting the lid down! Although not sure that I know many men that dont put the seat down, never mind the lid!
I didnt even want a new phone, I was just going to have money credited to my account instead. Now I have the trauma of trying to pick a new handset too! I am assuming that I can upgrade in store? Vodafone used to let me, but on Orange now, so I am hoping so.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -
