Ah, work. Cried all the way home yesterday.
Positive point of last 4 days is telling someone what a triplet is (in music).
Negative points - the rest. Esp hearing a pupil get called a !!!!!! today by a member of staff.
Will do it until half term. :-/0 -
Oh Frith - your equivalent of kk's vicious[jealous]so-called mentor last year.
You do realise, must hold onto, fact that they realise you have something they lack.... We know it with all your posts re: sons.
Please don't deprive even ONE child who needs you as a 'special' school memory.

No, dfv - none since yesterday and have read about, identified - I think - robin.
Back out again - not a deliberate procrast day at all, but it's ending up with bigger Undone than Done list today.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Frith - sorry to hear about work - stay positive and see how things pan out.
1. Seeing the sunrise this morning.
2. No traffic on the road again on my way too work.
3. Managed to declutter a bit before I left for work.
4. Text from a friend which cheered me up.
5. Chat with a neighbour.0 -
Bags packed Tikka Chick due. Wobbleades due. And BoPsie Birthday. Secreted Chocolates and Bears found. And flock inn L, it is POETS day tomorrow.
ShillButt day. No, some idiot seems to think that when I went to Bradford with Lincoln City thirty short years ago, was deliberate. Go home you stupid flockers. Sorry, but the worse thing was, there with an early paramedic . South Yorks pigs kept us penned in. Need I say more! Treat it like Yorkshire TV and the rest. Tapes et all in safe deposit. Life, get on with it. Rant nearly over.
I see three ships a sailing.
Oh, our local conserve and friends of the newts who left the pond filling with reeds, have finally after fifteen years, found they may have to cut it back, best in case it silts up. Or boogar. That is called husbandry, of the land. Now they are wanting to claim some credit. No. You set up the pond to stop a development. Only thing is, your promise to look after it fell on damp feet. Absolute codswallop.

Question not why the traders of slaves are forcing people onto boats, but why the slaves are willing to go?0 -
Ooooh Frith, please go and see your safeguarding person at school about that foul language
The worst I say is "Silly goose" to children, although I do sometimes think of something a bit stronger! I hope tomorrow and following days will be a million times better x
1. Went to the library with DD and took out loads of lovely booksHave 24 on my school ticket alone!!
2. DD and I bought Waitro$e version of Magnumnums and sat in the park slurping away
3. Have finally finished planning literacy for next week, yay!
4. Bumped into two of the lovely children from the horrible placement school, it was great to see them (even if I couldn't remember their names!)
5. Planning a trip to one of our favourite museums tomorrow, the Ashmolean0 -
DigForVictory - our cherry blossom is not showing any sign of erm, blossoming. It's always the last on the road to "go".
ampersand - do you follow James Rebanks on Twitter as @herdyshepherd1? Absolutely brilliant.
Just being thankful that I have a good job & my health. A friend has a child in his class whose mother is off sick from work and only has SSP and child benefit to get through each month. They've managed to get food bank support, thankfully. Frightening.
1) Salad for supper. It was delicious.
2) Speaking of delicious, I took my spare cake into work today. It didn't last two minutes in the staffroom. I've promised my class that I'll bake one for them!
3) Soup for lunch. It was divine, if a little hot.
4) Signed up to support a charity bake day in a local shop. Rather worried that the outside world will be potentially donating money for MY cake.
5) Time to read my book.
Ooops, just realised most of my pleasures revolve around food. Ah well.....Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Well what a week everyone is having! Not been visiting or posting as my week has be nothing short of crazy so far!!!
Sorry to hear the job is not great Frith - but its early days!
and all this talk of procrastinating!!! I am the expert!!!
Work had been crazy! Every one sick or stressed and needing a piece of me - so to do list never gets done only added to! add Rev Mother in charge of kids and man fixing driveway but cutting cables instead makes home stress too!!! Add in assignment deadlines - bring it on!
So good time to think about pleasures I guess!
1. Garden looking good (except planting out still needs done!)
2. Making progress with supporting stressed employee I think (remembered some coaching skills from deep in the memory bank!)
3. I do have the best work place to remind me of what's important - choir came Tuesday to sing for voice day - patients and staff singing along - very moving but simple pleasure ( I cried at 'Imagine' - soppy so and so!)
4. Lost 9 and a half pound in 3 weeks on new 'eating sensibly' approach (just show how much rubbish I was eating! - I blame contentment and cake - we seem to have some reason to have cake in work several times a week!)
5. DD1 has been home for 2 weeks - its been lovely - have been on 3 nice walks with her this week - I will miss her so much when she leaves on Sunday - but will be seeing her next weekend in London - can't wait!!!
Assignment fever will take over from tomorrow - so might be on here just to procrastinate!!! Chase me if you see me!!!0 -
POETS Day. And paid too much tax again.
To the boats!

Hurrah for Friday! Day 10/10 at work....done and dusted for 3 whole days!
Listening in to a one sided conversation on train this morning...think we could all hear how Jason wasn't treating her nicely, was being very demanding and she wasn't happy...shared a smile with the lady sitting next to ( knitting lady....she's always knitting or crocheting , I always get on the same carriage as does she!) ...the pleasure was that we shared do a smile and probably a small guffaw at the same time....not that poor girl was miserable!
Work was fine.....Z list cooking show competitors came in for breakfast....I felt strangely very nervous cooking for them....don't know why, they got kicked off weeks ago! I asked for a photo opportunity, sure after food.....then they !!!!!!ed off! Get over yourselves lovies!
Laundry cash paid and added to stash....in front of kids.....guess how much I've got and you can have $5 .... Damn , that DD2 was right!
Nice hour or so spent with the three of them, good company this afternoon.
My middle baby has booked a trip to Europe with her best friend. They are going over Christmas....( as I almost sob at the thought of it) I suppose if we bring up our children to be happy and independent that they will leave the nest at some point. Anyway 7.5 months to get used to the idea and shall start saving some euros for her.
She has worked for over 4 years and saves almost all her wages and this has been her aim to travel.
Have tidied my bedroom and cleaned the bathrooms, shan't need doing over the next 3 days
It's rainy which is good for my veg patch, out of all the teeny tiny baby pumpkins we only had 3 that have grown to a decent size. Rain is very welcome to give them a good soaking.
It's been an expensive past week or so, I'd car insurance, water bill, school fees and more blooming school uniform to buy, contact lenses trial all came out this week. I'm glad I didn't give a shift up as I thought I might have done, but other girl couldn't cover. Just as well, as I'll get a full weeks pay next week. Thank goodness for saving up!
Do have a lovely Friday0 -
Morning all
Ooh Frith - hope work gets betteer
Mhags - enjoy your days off. How exciting for DD - you have to let them go, so they can come back
Judi - strangely, i am the only person i know who can't stand "Imagine". I know it's a bit heinous to say but i am not that fond of any Beatles-y thing
Vicky - nowt more OS than good food!
Kittikins - 24 books!!!! <<faints>>
DforV - glad funeral went well, starts the healing. Thanks for comment re sig. I was reading Three Men in a Boat (again !) and it really struck a chord with me
Pleasures for yesterday
1. trip on the steam train - I took some marking, but really wanted to see the hills. A small girl in my carriage was a delight. Grandma was speaking to her in French (Grandma and Maman were french) little girl replied in a mix of French and English - in the same sentence!!Her "Ooh la la" when the train whistled was wonderful as was her utter joy in being there.
2. Honey Ice cream - I had enough for you all, so don't worry :rotfl:
3. Met an old friend in HIC shop. It's like that here - always meet people you know unexpectedly. She is my sister in law's sister, and OH's ex! (she once told me - before I went out with him - that he just wasn't husband material. We have been married 24 years! :rotfl:)
4. Lots of lambs in the fields - wonderful
5. A walk to the sea, I love the sea and don't see it enough.
A cheeky 6 - spending time with DS, he is great company when he is away from his X box.
Home later today. Out tonight for OH's birthday tomorrow as he and DS are going to the footie for the day tomorrow, so I am off to Kent. One end of the country to the other, thank goodness for free train travel. And i can see a different sea!
Have a great day y'allI wanna be in the room where it happens0
