    Yesterday

1 - Out for a cuppa then a lovely lunch with my mam, and she treated me. Felt like I hadn't seen in her ages so it was very nice to catch up.

2 - Home to watch the Murray v Nadal match. The result was not a pleasure! Should be a good final though.

3 - Finished my coursework for the week sitting outside in the evening sunshine.

4 - £60 refund through from council tax on my last place. Promptly sent to my savings account.

5 - Lots of chat with my OH as I won't get to see him this weekend.

    Today

1 - Storms/rain didn't come to much meaning work was hardly affected. Glad of that as I don't like quiet days.

2 - Speaking to one of my old staff. So nice to hear what is happening for her and sharing our stories.

3 - Making treats for my staff for a training night next week.

4 - Catching up on the GP quali.

    5 - My bed.

McHags: You will have such a wonderful time back for the “Scottish summer”. Is it true about the Scottish midges?
Wow congratulations to all of the weight losses.:T
1.Hmm it wasn’t an MSE day well other than the fact we shopped carefully and had researched before we went.:money: We went around the shops today, as did everyone else it seems, wow queuing, traffic ikea on Saturday:eek:
2.We popped to Costco, picked up a solar led light, 2 offers and some compost, I was good by ignoring the cinnabon cake temptation from hell in there.:rotfl:
    3. Plodded around ikea stopped for food drink, refreshment in general, then plodded on again, we picked up some bits to “ferret proof” and re design the caravan end, (a DH project).
4.Popped into BM for cheap plant food and plant netting for Ampersands strawberries,:p we popped to bandq and saw exactly the same plant food for £4 more, scarey.
5.Home and er rehydrating it was such a warm day.
    6. Forgot to mention we found our ferret food on offer at 25% off which happens so rarely we stocked right up.:D
    7. Sent off a few freegle email enquiries well you never know they might still be available it would be handy if they are.:o

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Lay listening to the thunder for an hour from 6.15. The thunder was a fair distance away but continuous! It sounded like someone putting the wheelie bins out.

    2) Had a phone call from my sister.

    3) Went for a drive but it was pretty uneventful.

    4) Found some geocaches.

    5) Lots of texts from smaller son (at his father's).

    6) Plenty of YS stuff from supermarket so had cheap roast veg for tea with 2 venison burgers!

    7) Watched the end of Return of the Jedi and some of Shaun of the Dead. And Casualty.
  • On the 7th Day

Quick catchs ups, still tricking through & pocket pictures of JW and others. Was OK Frith, Thunder was round my Parish in steade. Woke BoPsie up! Arh, Ferrets. There be wobbleade made from Ferrets! Rates refunds. HM< Pizza. BoPsie is special one at BoP Mansion. CCP. Naughty, Naughty, Naughty. No Cheese then. Jelly fish of the Forests?

5 Snorkers again, with the harvested SpagYETTI Mushrooms and washed over with tea, Jam on toast. Rubs tum for second day on the trot.

4 Waited all day yesterday for the great flood. Raffles was placed strategically on the shed, should a grate wave come from the brook further down the hill. The YELLOW shone all around.

3 Last night we had sticky wings again. Fresh bits of chicken, come back CHICKEN, in sticky marinade. Black treacle (Think ruff), chilli, garlic, lemon, ginger, coriander and masala. Toasted fresh with wobbleades. Yummy. Then Engerland and ... Raffles licked the chicken bits up!

2 Raffles has not quite got used to the fence yet, he balances quite gingerly on the top and then falls off, rather than climbing down.

1 Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.

Hello , it's Sunday evening in the land of Oz. To go down to 6o tonight which will feel rather chilly methinks!

I must have slept for about 12 hours from last evening to this morning....assume I needed it!

Drove to work...think it was just me on the road this morning .

    Work was pleasant enough.

Drive home was pleasant.through the week I just find the traffic scary so I'd rather take the train and don't have to worry about parking fines or other crazy drivers.

Went for late lunch/ early tea with OH

We have a few very late blooming roses so picked a few few for my back porch table.

Lovely chat with my sister in law on the phone.

The anticipation of a later start tomorrow ....it's a public holiday and whilst I'm working we are opening an hour later. On Mondays I have to usually set the alarm clock, ( quite often wake before it goes off ) so that will be nice not to be woken by the alarm. And will drive in as it will be quiet on roads, so can leave later too :)

PK midges are a force to be reckoned with....we've had many a camping holiday blighted by them, unfortunately for me I have the type of skin they like to bite and come out in huge lumps. On one trip to the Isle of Skye, we got out of car and had to get straight back in car. The people in the next tent kindly gave us some deterrent so we could at least get tent up! Another trip we were staying in a long cabin at a loch and oh my! The dash between the car and the door was just awful! Apparently Av0n skin so soft is a good repellent. Over here we have Mosquitos to contend with and they too like to munch on me :(

    Have a lovely Sunday :)

I realised today when I was checking to see when Wimbledon start that we will be home for some of it and can watch it in real time :)

For Scottish mutant midges, I was fraid of as much, I’m the same skin wise and big welts, we will try the SSS thou.
I am considering picking up a copy of the a girl called jack recipe book after a lot of good mentions around the site
1.You guessed it more gardening, 1 hanging basket and 1 fence pot planted out, left the green house open and when I popped back in it had lots of miner bees visiting, planted and trailed the honeysuckle and Chinese lantern plants to the trellis, re potted the hopefully surviving hoya seeds and picked out a few suspect slow ones into their own pot. Bagged up enough rubble for 6 tip runs – oh dear.:)
    2.Baked up some walnut cookies.:o
3.A cold dinner of Chicken with potato salad and hg mint, chives and oregano.:)
    4.NSD/NPD:T
    5. Beautiful weather, even if my skin colour also means I waited for it to cloud over to do anything

    Evening everyone :hello:

Sorry for being AWOL. :o I'm back now.

My pleasures for the past few days:

    1) DH family barbecue yesterday as it's DH and SIL's birthday tomorrow - they're twins! Spent a lovely afternoon with DH's family.

    2) My cake club today. I made Nigella's Chocolate Mousse Cake from the Domestic Goddess book. One person there said it was the best cake they'd ever tasted, another person at the same venue (and given a slice of a few of the cakes) said that it was "the best". :D So delighted!

    3) New school website is just about ready for launch! Super delighted, but had a near heart failure moment when I tried to learn about the ins and outs of web hosting and domain name registering. No, I don't have a clue what I've written either...

    4) Went to my parents' house last week as they were on holiday and I needed to relieve my brother from the dog/cat sitting for one night. Had a lovely little walk with the dog.

    5) Our garden is looking lovely. We have some gorgeous lupins and other pretty er, flowers.

    Night all x

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    1) Another lovely long lie-in. I'm away next weekend so wanted to treat myself to some extra sleep in the familiarity of my own bed.

    2) Lots of lovely warm yellow stuff.

    3) Ordered my dad's father's day present, using a 10% off code, and took the opportunity to get myself a few bits as well to make the most of the rather pricy postage costs.

    4) A very exciting grand prix, which thankfully ended with no major injuries.

    5) Turned some of the LO roast beef from last night into a very tasty curry for tonight's dinner.
Back after a very long break!

1 - Sunshine and warmth for the walk to and from work.

2 - Lots of naughty treats at work. Not even going to weigh in tomorrow as I know it will be horrendous. Must be better this week.

3 - Treat boxes finished and labelled up for each of my staff.

4 - Some change bagged up and I've got £87 worth.

5 - Agree with CCP, a very entertaining GP. Making me so excited for going in August!!
