Mchags: The break has changed to tour Wales, as DH changed the Scottish tour to next year late April to mid May to celebrate with his 50th and our 10 year anniversary. The good thing is it’s very researched, got so much planned for it we could happily go up each year,:T I am still suspecting we might just up n go there. We would be going at exactly the same time. I am on the 4 week countdown I keep casting eyes over the calendar.
    Dfv: Didn’t know about that

What i can say re the blanket is it was very easy and not very expensive. I just looked up dr who dishcloth patterns on the web, modified them to the same nimber of rows and stitches, and knitted 4 of each colour on #5s. There are tons of patterns for dishcloths, not all dr who (tho' hard to believe anyone would want anything less!)

'Tis Thursday evening, it's dark and I'm not long in from work....just made the train again...ran as fast as my sore feet would go( not very) , DD1 has just had freebie lasagne for her tea. That's work done for the week, hurrah!
I do enjoy work and look forward to going in ,in the morning but always glad to be finished at the end of the week.

Early start , had to return equipment back to GP surgery , so did that at 7.45 am and then chatted with friend from home until it was time to go for the train.

Bought a cooked chicken ( cheaper to buy cooked than fresh) so I'm thinking fajitas are on the menu tonight.

Shall save some pleasures for tomorrow...not really done much today other than work!
  • Let’s get ready to Thimble

Think I may had used that one afore, but fors all you knitter out there, I was thinking about Raffles and our knitted tea cosy. It used to have a bobble upon it. Unfortunately, the bobble has been removed and skitted around the dining room.

5 Normal service has resumed with Engerland. No chance since the debacle of Leon, June 14th 1970. And those who have no memory loss, it was in an episode of Whatever happened to the Likely Lads, when Terry explains why his marriage ended. It is possibly as apt today as it was in 1973!

4 Curry Thursday and that has been washed down with the best cup of tea. Wonderfood!

3 Catch up with you later, as I am a bit busy at the Mine of Salt. Gaffer is still here, and the bin. What can I say about the bin. The Recycle police have noticed that a tea bag has been placed in the bin and the guilty party has not bin found. The recycle waste has been detrimentally contaminated and may have to go for special disposal. Landfill!

2 Yes, go on and especially DfV. You think what is all that about. Well.

1 When you put things in containers, your restrict their use!

    1) Lots of lovely yellow stuff, although the wind's still decidedly nipsky. smiley-sad018.gif

    2) Watching the Red Arrows from the office window. As we're on the second floor I think we got a better view than many of the people who went down to the seafront to watch them.

    3) Another very quiet afternoon at work, so I spent some time playing a game on the website I signed up for yesterday, which pays you (admittedly only a very small amount) for playing games.

    4) Another competition win - the second in 24 hours - this time it's a DVD. :D

    5) Pub quiz tonight - if I can summon up the energy to go out again, anyway. :o
Back after a very long break!
  • Oooh I know, but irresistible siting. Car, Germanic extraction, on it's roof on the way home. Also, some one in the queue was wise enough to remove a caravan from the stock as well.

No ambulances were in attendance. One assumes occupants were recovered and egos busted, standing on the side.

Saw the blankie DD, it truly is a thing of beauty :) LOVE your kitchen as well, such a fab colour x

    1. Scrumptious day at school :) Really love this place, it's the end of week 4 and I haven't been in tears or stressed out once! :):):)

    2. Saw DD's former science club teacher as he did an assembly for my placement school. Great fun experiments, and he was complimentary about DD's interest in science :)

    3. I've booked DD and myself on to a joint Latin course starting in autumn :) Whilst I have some Latin, I know I need a lot more help and it will be amazing to learn with DD :):) (and, even better, it's free!)

    4. I've arranged to visit two schools tomorrow afternoon, with a view to applying for a job at either/both of them.

    5. Had lunch al fresco with some lovely chaps - yup, in the playground with 3 of my class :)

    My pleasures for the day.

1 - Got into work to a lovely, complimentary email. Was such a nice way to start off my day.

2 - One of my favourite customers came in today. She is always so cheery and has a good old natter with me.

    3 - 4.30pm finish at work.

4 - Picked up the top I'd ordered after work. Love it.

5 - Sorted out the refund for a closed electric account. Only twenty pounds but every little helps. I'll probably zap it over to savings when it appears.
