Ahh, thanks Sqiuizz. Its not for everyone but unless you try it you will never know. For me except callorie counting (when at my heaviest) its the only thing that has worked. I cope fine normally its just getting back into it and I know day four is my worst. I will perk up tommorow though :j
True Maz, deep down though I am still kinda angry at my docs. Because I have been o/w for years and years and they wouldnt help. Then I heard of people getting sw on prescription. Dont get me wrong I wouldnt have used it if i had been offered it but they could have at least offered but they didnt want to knowAlas I am glad I have done this now though and even if it cose me double I would have done it.
:rotfl: at Dawn, I tryed to expalin to my sister too as she would like to do it and she couldnt grasp it. I do agree though you have to do the diet for a few days before it 'clicks'... Although becuse of you :A TheCD thread and research I had it before I started :j
You will look amazing for GM Maz, you do anyways so I dont know why you worry:rotfl:
Right guys see you in 4 hours  Deep breath :rotfl: Have a great afternoon, dont do too much0 -
I actually have a book somewhere that explains the science part - in a nice unsciencey type way...Leant it to someone though, i will see if I can get it back.
I can't stand too much carp anymore...last week was horrendous (honest :rotfl:) and I was glad to get back to eating almost normally this week.
My dilemma - what to wear to Green day tonight.....and NO lol...I am not wearing pink pants...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Hi guys, thought i'd just pop in and say WELL DONE to all those on CD!!! It's bloody hard!!!!!
I just wanted to express a word of warning, as some of you have said people don't always research it properly and then wonder why they get sick. I did all the research, was being monitored weekly at a hospital clinic(ketostix & blood test & blood pressure) and monthly at my GPs. And i still had a bad side effect.
I did it hardcore, the 3 shakes a day, 9 pints of water, and only black coffee as an extra, for 3 months, i lost 5 stone, but i didn't realise that my exercise was too high to maintain on only 450 cals a day. I was teaching at the time and wearing a stepper that showed i was doing 16km a day!!! (despite being nearly 22 stone). And unfortunately one day in the middle of a lesson with 35 14yr olds, all with bunsen burners on the go, i collapsed! I have NEVER fainted in my life, but this was horrible! I blacked out 3 times in 5 mins, then got a sudden sharp stabbing pain in my right side, like a stitch only worse, i was then so violently sick that i couldn't leave the bathroom, this was made worse by being on a liquid diet, as there wasn't really anything to get up other than water
Within 15 minutes i was on my mums sofa, with my GP & the on-call GP prodding me! It turned out my appendix was shutting down, due to a lack of calories. I was instructed there and then to eat a slice of bread or they would be taking me to hospital. I ate the bread, but they left me a referral note to the emergency services, explaining that should my pain come back i was to be sent straight to surgery NOT A&E as my appendix would have to be removed.
From that point on I used the shakes i had left like slimfast, 2 a day + a carb free dinner.
Please please PLEASE monitor your calorie output!!!!! I later found out that if you burn more than an extra 500 calories a day then you should be on 4 shakes a day, but nobody was montioring my exercise.

thanks for that pink martini! - poor you,. hope you're fully recovered now tho!
Pap is a superstar on the CD... she's doing so well.
i did well but stopped after 5 stone, going all out to lose the last stone say now to get me back on track for project boob job...
Was out for lunchbreak today - bottle of water, resisting all urges as it's only day 1 for gods sake... but founf myself buying toiletries and other bits n bobs instead of snacks! i remember this habit from before...
semichem have those nice reed diffusers down from £6 to £3... i bought one for my new bathroom....
and the co-op had glade apple candles in red (to match my living room bits n bobs) for only £1.49 so i bought 2.... all essential really as house has that damp unlived in smell about it.....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Wow, that's a scary story.
Pap, I agree about the GP. When I started piling weight on I kept going to mine, and even when I was 15 st, having put on 4 in less than a year, he kept saying that I was tall and could carry it and not to worry. Then I found out it was because of the depo injection, stopped that and the gain stopped. Fast forward a few years, and a year of being down and comfort eating and I was 18st. Asked for help from the nurse at the GP surgery and all she did was say 'eat this' 'don't eat that', but no advice on how to do that, how to replace things etc. Fast forward another year and I've lost a stone and a half (hopefully more, weigh in next week) thanks to the brilliant health trainer, who's given me information, advice, and most of all hasn't preached. It's up to me how to use the info she's given me. But I had to find out about her on my own.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
