  • It's easy to return the films to them, just pop them in the envelope the films come in, dead easy. Films travel from Brighton to them in 1 day. They are always very courteous to me.

What was you doing to fustrate someone to the point where they hang up on you?

You should have taken the free time and enjoyed it, maybe you can donate the time to me?

"could not work out how to return the films" - ? Just post them back in the supplied envelope?

No problems with my free trial so far - all DVDs posted out immediately, all work fine on my machine.

Did you put enough titles on your list? You need at least 20, as it says.

    The DVD's come from OutNow.co.uk
I was with them for a few months and I can vouch for previous comments that they are crap
I kept my list up to the required 15+ titles
sometimes i had to wait over a week for new titles to arrive and only when I complained did I get somewhere
Once I complained and they said I hat mostly top titles on my list and I should add more
Well each week I added 2 or 3 more titles and I was struggling to find titles that I really wanted to see
9 times out of 10 I only got those that I had added but hardly ever those that I really wanted
Once #I complained and the girl put the phone down on me and I wasnt rude or anything.
I find plenty of DVD's in charity shops, second hand stores, and if i can wait long enough theres always the odd good title for arounf £3 from Tesco or Asda.
I'll never go back to Outnow
By the way I received a voucher from Lovefilm. 3 months for the price of one and its not the first time.
I used lovefilm quite a while back so they kept my details
They are a lot better than Lidl/Outnow

Is the voucher code you received from Lovefilm a personal code with your name on it or is it a general code that anyone can use ?

I got one of these earlier this month. It is a personal code rather than a general code.

It looks personal to me but the only real way to tell would be to compare with someone else
If someone doesnt mind PMing me their key then I can compare them
If its the same as mine then I dont mind sharing it on here

Ok you need 20 titles in your list

You painstakingly search for 20 DVD's that you really want to see

After the first 2 o 3 DVD's you have to top up your list

Can you find 2 or 3 more titles tht you REALLY want to see?.
Well as time goes on this can get harder and harder.

You add a few that are less important to you just to keep things going
Then maybe (as I did) you only get those less important films and NEVER get those you really want

Would you keep on with it ?

I waited so long and never got most of my top titles I could only draw the following choice of conclusions

Either other users were hanging on to their copies

they are severely out of stock

They don't actually have them in stock at all and list them just to make it look good

I have to agree with the majority of the posts here & say that the service just isn't up to scratch. I actually canceled before my free month was up, mainly because of the length of time it was taking to receive the next dvd. I don't believe that it took 3 days for them to receive the disc back (LF currently 2 days, sometimes next day) and even when I got an email saying that the had received the disc back it was always the following day before they dispatched the next dvd.

OK, it's a free trial and you've got nothing to lose but don't expect to be impressed.
Started the new centuary £18,000 in debt : July 2008 we're now DEBT FREE (apart from the mortgage!) :j
2011 Update: Taken a car on finance - first serious credit commitment in a long time but as were more financially secure than in the past it was a calculated risk - 4 years and counting ! :)

You were lucky. I had to wait over a week at times
Lovefilm is much better. They are like the ebay of DVD rentals. Much bigger and more dominant in the market place.
Outnow should be learning from them but I think that point is taking a long time to sink in

Lovefilm are definitely better and much less hassle. A friend of mine had real trouble cancelling an Outnow free trial, in the end they had to pay for a month before they could get out of it.

Lidl is just one of those 'too-cheap-to-be-any-good' kind of outfits, bit like their food.

You can get 30 days on Lovefilm too if you go via... http://www.choosedvdrental.co.uk/dvd-rental-review/lovefilm.asp
