Overpayment refund - Vodafone
Vodafone owe me £550 as an overpayment refund for text messaging costs which should have been free as part of my bundle, and that I was inadvertently paying for. For over 1month now I have been in discussion with them regarding the payment. They have admitted the payment is due to be refunded, have apparently authorised the payment be made back to me but as yet have paid me nothing. I have now phoned Vodafone on various occasion, spoken to a different person each time (have kept notes of dates/names etc) and each time had to tell my story from the beginning. I'm sick of it, if it was the other way round and I owed them £550 I'm sure they would be massively on my back. They're being as awkward (or inefficient) as possible. Please help! What should I do next?

I would drop this in the debt forums, as they know what is used against people to pay debts, so i am sure they can suggest what you can use to make them pay up. It maybe worth contacting the Vodafone rep on these forums too.Vodafone_company_representative wrote: »Hi
If this has not yet been resolved for you please feel free to get in contact with myself by emailing from the Contact Us page with the subject line WRT135 (so it comes straight to my team). In the body of the text you will also need to include a link to your thread and your username for this forum along with your details.
I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this for you.
Thanks

Anything over 30 days seems a bit long to sort out the payment, as it is not just a bill adjustment but they have actually already taken the funds from your account.
You may have to write to them with the threat of legal action, should the matter not be resolved to your satisfaction within 14 days. (always send recorded)Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Maybe you should contact your bank and dispute the direct debit payment. You do have a guarantee whereby the bank will offer protection if an unauthorised amount was taken.0

Hi mozza1,
I can understand why you're frustrated here, it's disappointing to hear how much you have chased this issue and it still isn't resolved.
I'd like to shed some light on this for you, can you please email me using our Contact Us form? Please include a link to this thread and your username, also include WRT135 in the subject field so that your query routes directly to me.
Don't hesitate to ask if there is anything else at all.
