It appears that it depends on the variety they are selling which might be worth checking when buying any of their apples. I guess the same goes with most food stuff Aldi sells.
I thought their red apples were OK the last time I bought them (I think they were breaburns) and thought they were sweet in flavour. I actually thought they were better than supermarket ones.
It's always a good idea to check the variety before making a purchase I suppose.0 -

Anyone know what is this weeks super 6?
Went in this morning, not 100% sure but I think these were this weeks:
Carrots 29p (1kg)
White seedless grapes 69p (500g)
Blueberries 69p (needless to say they had none of these left)
Maris Piper potatoes 69p (2.5kg bags?)
I think the others were red apples and sprouts.
Not sure what type the apples were but don't think they were Royal Gala, they had really green bits, think I have tried them before and they were a bit sharp.0 -
The red apples in my local ALDI were braeburns, looked nice but haven't tried them yet (59p for 6).0
