Right time for me too - stocks of beetroot chutney running low and been awaiting it coming on as a Super 6 so I can make some more!

I might have to try some beetroot chutney too. I've currently got about a kile of shallots that I want to make a chutney/relish with, and I can't find a recipe to use, all the ones that I find seem to need to be eaten within a week or so!!

Does the vacuum pack beetroot make any difference when making chutney? I've not tried making it before, but might at that price for beetroot!

I used to go to the faff of boiling up fresh beetroot but last time I thought I would give the vac packed beetroot a try and there was no difference at all in the taste. So whenever it is on offer in Aldi I buy a few packs and make another batch.

I made these on Friday with the beetroot from Aldi and they were lovely, wouldn't believe they had beetroot in.
