The strawberries at the Portsmouth Aldi had really shiny skins, and just look so appetising - is this a new breed, they tasted great, and they're a "superfood" as well. Loving it.

I complained in an earlier post about the strawberries being the tasteless 'Elsanta' variety. However our Aldi also had a variety called 'Sweetheart' the other day, which weren't at all bad.

For those wanting a heads-up on the new Super Six offers, starting this Sunday:

Pineapple,
Pack of 8 Kiwi Fruits,
Six Pack of Oranges
Courgette,
3 Pack of Mixed Peppers,
Vine Tomatoes.

Not sure what the price'll be - I'd imagine .69 each.

Kiwi fruits were on just a couple of weeks ago and we took advantage! Courgette and tomatoes are a staple item too, but the pineapples and peppers will be great.

Oh good I have been waiting for the peppers to come on offer again as my freezer stocks of Pepper & Cream Cheese soup are running low and I have the Philly cheese ready and waiting (thanks to a good Asda offer).

Aldi's satsumas and kiwi fruits I refuse to buy. Never had a successful bag of satsumas - bitter, dry or full of pips. Kiwi fruits were still rock solid after a week!

I rather spend a little more on these from other places and eat the whole of them instead of paying 50p-80p less at Aldi and having to sling out all but two fruit.
