Yeah, plums! I knew there was something else. I was nearly tempted but desided not to get any. Anyway, I wouldn't have had much room in my bag as I went there on my bike and had quite a few things to get from ASDA as well.

Just came back more or less from Aldi in Hounslow and nearly missed the Maris Piper spuds. They have ‘Specialty Potatoes’ in large writing on the packaging and a little description label saying ‘Maris Piper 2.5kg’.

in my aldi today the fruit & veg offers i noticed were:
baking potatoes - a nice big bag 59p
pack of 6 kiwi 59p (i think)
parsnips 39p (i think)
brussel sprouts 29p (i think)
green apples 59p
cauliflower 39p (but none of them looked particularly appetising...)

I always find you need to be a bit careful with their Kiwis, I've had a couple of packs that never seemed to ripen, and remained too hard to eat.
