I bought 3 packs of peppers and I'm currently preparing them to freeze. The potatoes are good value too. I decided to pass on the swede.

Has anyone been to Aldi this week yet? The website hasn't been updated.

  • Lilian, how often do they change their super 6?

I was in Aldi today and didn't take much notice of the super 6 offers but did notice
Conference pears were on offer and British carrots (1kg) as well.

When I went through your link in your OP this is what came up:

    from Sunday 1st November

    W46_FruitVegUK_TH.jpg

    Onions 29p

    W46_FruitVegUK_TH2.jpg

    Conference Pears 59p

    W46_FruitVegUK_TH3.jpg

    Tomatoes 39p

    W46_FruitVegUK_TH4.jpg

    Baking Potatoes 59p

    W46_FruitVegUK_TH5.jpg

    Swede 29p

    W46_FruitVegUK_TH6.jpg

    Peppers 59p
  • By the way, if you live in or around Kingston-upon-Thames try visiting the fruit and veg market (Charter Quay, Market Place) by the old town hall where you can pick up 6 bulbs of garlic for a £1, works out about 16p per bulb of garlic. Thought I’d mention this after noticing the garlic in Lilian’s OP.

They change the offers every week, I popped in yesterday and it was cucumber, cabbage, red apples, maris pipers and I can't remember the other two - but I wasn't impressed and didn't buy anything, but it would be good if you don't have much fresh food in. Me, I've got loads at the moment ;)

Oh and Lugh, the garlic in my previous post was 29p for 3 bulbs - so a bargain!

The garlic in your previous post is definitely a bargain but Kingston market's always works out cheaper than most supermarkets as they tend to charge around 30p for loose ones. I wasn't suggesting Aldi’s aren’t worth it but as you’ve said their super 6 change every week.

I think one of other super 6 you didn't mention might be British carrots as they were selling very cheap. About 26p I think.

And the red apples are actually Breaburns even though it says red apples on the packaging. I bought some yesterday.
