Orange dilema...
Six months ago I signed up with Orange. At the time of purchase I was informed that I could have a promotional tarriff for the first six months of 400 minutes for the price of 200 minutes. I was then told for the reminaing six months - months 7 - 12, I could switch to 200 minutes and 500 texts.
I phoned up to change my tariff as the I'm almost at my six months and was informed that the 200 minutes and 500 texts is also a promotional tarriff which I can't be switched to mid-contract.
After a lengthy chat - which got me nowhere - I was informed that unless I had proof in writing or a recorded call that it was tough luck - and if I "was" informed of this, I was given the information "incorrectly". I then asked if they could trace the recorded call and was informed that they only record calls for training purposes.
I looks like they're not going to budge and I don't have any proof.
Can anyone help.
Any ideas what I can do??

Hiya,
What the Orange C/Services have told you is correct that the Orange 200mins and 500 texts is for new connections only!!
However, If i'm correct you will have been speaking to Orange Customer Services on 150 ie the Help Desk?
Try phoning 0800 079 2288 this will take you thru to Orange Customer Relations who are superior to the customer advisors on 150 and generally can do a lot more for you!!
I'm not promising anything but its certainly worth a free phone call.0 -
or if you want to do some writing i got no-where with phone calls for 3 months (couldn't get gprs for 3 months) they kept saying it will get sorted i ended up sending my phone to panasonic it was sorted within seven days i asked orange on the phone to give me 1 month rent free £30 they said no!! i had lost all my ring tones etc when it was sent back but they wouldnt budge so i wrote to them, the woman who rang after receiving the letter was more than helpful and was more than happy to credit me the £30 i asked for..
