hi the payments are now set up for the new arrears to be paid but we are debating this outstanding amount that they are calling maintenance rescheduling its not part of the original arrears from mar 23rd till now they say its because this months money hasnt come out and setting up new d/d part way through the month but the d/d is still set up and they have admitted their fault for not collecting it even tho they have since been paid it only a few days late ( thanks for saving me)always send a smile as it costs nothing..

Ask for a CLERICAL breakdown - this is what we were advised to ask for - it shows all the calculations. Sometimes takes a while to get to you mind, and you may have to ask for it more than once.....0

Sorry but seems similar to our case - the amount had been reassessed and increased, but the CSA didn't take the correct amount out - even though it was their fault and we pointed out the mistake at the time we still had the outstanding amount added to our arrears.0

If you still don't understand it, or get the info you want, demand an interview with somebody - at a local DSS office. Take with you all the evidence you have and ask them to explain it all to you.0

I know it's too late for your case OP, but all these problems with D/Ds just strengthen an NRP's case for paying by standing order.
At least that way, you're in control of what's being paid out of your account & can adjust it monthly if necessary, to accomodate the CSA's various mistakes & numerous revisions.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000.
