Ah come on. Give me a break. I had to make up the anagram whilst I was crying with laughter!!!

ok, Cleaver could put on the t-shirts:-

'a be clever i mew'...........not very good grammar, but appropriate for any bulls trying to disillusion themselves.......:j

I used a 'regional accent' to install the 'a' :rotfl:

When I started I felt small and insignificant - so I chose a no cap handle. Then as it became my name (more people use it than in real life) I wished I had capitalized it. Now I think it should be all Caps, as I am completely stuck up my own @ss.

Must dash - I'm off out to wait for the next price crash. See you in 15 years !!!!

I think you're right about 15 years before the next one. Indeed, you seemed pretty spot on with your house price assertions back in May 2007:

There is NO evidence whatsoever of an impending house price crash. None. Not a shred.

With interest rates now approaching the top of their cycle, a growing population increasing the demand for housing, and the economy doing well, there is no need to believe that a crash is looming.

And just because I'm curious and you mentioned your 'property portfolio' earlier, what did you go for in the end? Vivacious Vaxhaull? Beautiful Bermondsey? Or the sunny climes of magical Malta?

Was considering getting into the BTL market. Budget is up to £250k (mortgage of £200k). Any one got any suggestions of decent areas to buy, or any useful articles to read? Was considering Vauxhall, or Bermondsey: both seem to offer decent rental yields.

Has anyone bought an investment property in Malta or Gibraltar ? I was hoping to get something as a BTL for the next 20 years or so, but some place that would also make a good retirement home, English speaking, with sunshine, and a quick flight home … I’m less interested in rapid capital appreciation, or indeed any appreciation, but want something that gives a rental yield that would cover the mortgage. Budget would probably be in the region of €250k, for 2 –3 beds.
