Decorating my flat - is Wilko paint any good?

Ive been using wilko paint for years, and I would challenge anybody to come in my house and tell what paint is on the walls. You would never know, if you want to waste your money on brand paint go ahead but this site is all about saving not spending, you if your painting a surface a new colour you will have to give it two coats but that’s usually the case for any paint your using. Your going to save your self a lot of money with wilko paint that’s the bottom line.0

Absolutely! I repainted my bathroom last year using Wilkos paint, and it was lovely, went on really really well and looks great still nearly one year down the line.
On the other hand, I've just had the living room decorated and it took four coats of Dulux to get even coverage ...0 -

Have to stick up for Wilko's paint too. Their shade 'Ahoy' is gorgeous, it's like Nestle's white chocolate, and yes, it looks good enough to eat!
It goes on really well and it is easy to clean too. They do have some unusual shades as well, but the Ahoy is so pretty I have it in several rooms through the house.:hello:  please play nicely children !0 -

I must check that one out - but I fear that if I had it on the walls I might find myself licking the walls in search of a choccy fix
Am off to look at their exterior paints in a bit, I have the urge to repaint the front of the house.0 -
If you need to paint over bolder/darker colours, get a huge tub of ultra cheap white paint and do a bottom coat with that - no point wasting the expensive stuff trying to blot out old colours.
I used Dulux throughout my flat ("Magnolia" except in the bathroom - I'm so adventurous lol) and it goes on easy and gives a good finish.0 -

Can recommend shops for that sort of thing but you'll end up spending more than fifty quid.0 -
Well I have been hard at work this week. Just painted a room with CROWN screw top bathroom paint thingy and another toliet in WILKO silk pink harmony. Both very similar consistencies and just as easy to apply as each other. Both gave good similar coverage. I also believe a good paint brush can make a job a lot easier and more professional!! So I have a to say WILKO very good value at 2 for £150

I've got a paint chart for Wilko paints. I think this is the own brand found in the cut-price Wilkinson stores. I've got 4 rooms to paint: living, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. I'm keeping things simple and cost effective: one colour for living room and bedroom, another colour for bathroom and kitchen, using the special paint. My selection process has consisted of drinking some beer and then looking at the colours, going "no, no, no, no,.....I want that one". I'm now going to drink some more beer and see if I have the same answer. Then looking again tomorrow when sober.
So far the results are:
living room, bedroom: wishy washy Yellow aka "butter melt"
bathroom, kitchen: "moonlight white"
skirting boards etc: "plain white"
I'm quite liking the simple approach.
Anyway, are Wilko paints any good, or are there any special offers this weekend, like B&Q 10% off or the like?
I am currently in the process of moving my self 1st vtime place.
I have decorated mthe bedroom with wilko paints. The walls had a plastic coated wallpaper on the walls.Worst of all it was pink walls. With me working on a very tight budget and tuff I decided to use wilko paints.
and I only used 2 cans of paint and it only took 2 coats to cover the ugly pink walls up. I have no problems with wilko paint I give them 10/10 for quality and coverage.0
