Do a manual tune on channel 65 which may bring them back.
  • I have recently bought a plasma tv with full hd and built
in freeview. The freeview works fine but not sure how to access the hd channels. I phoned sky ( we have sky plus) and it will cost me a lot of money to upgrade. Anyone know of any deals going at the moment. The tv is a 42 inch with a great picture and we are very happy with it.

There are no HD channels available on Freeview. Freeview may start some HD broadcasting in Spring 2010, but to get this you would require a new HD Freeview box, these are not yet available.
At present you either need to upgrade to Sky HD, or buy a Freesat HD box (Humax Foxsat) which can be used with your existing dish.

Does your new tv have Freeview or Freesat as I know there are tvs with built in Freesat recievers.
If its Freeview then as Macman says. If its Freesat then there are a couple of HD channels that you should get, but ITV HD is a red button service.

AFAIK Samsung and Panasonic are the only manufacturers offering integrated Freesat TV's at present, but others are bound to follow.
If the OP has one of these, then Freesat HD is available just by plugging in the dish feed to the TV.

LG and Sony also do integrated Freesat - saw an ad for the Sony in the Sunday papers - looked pretty expensive compared with the Panny's and LGs
