Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek - so I just spoke to the housing association (HA) guy, and to reserve the house we just need to give the HA a cheque tomorrow morning for £250 - then the house is officially reserved for us!

Then we need to submit this online application form tonight, so he has all our details. After that we need to meet with the HA financial advisor who will either approve or deny the offer.

Is it normal to be past yourself with excitement and terror in equal measure?

Well, hello and happy new thread everyone!

Dinah, I would bet money that you can complete this challenge. I won't, but only because I don't have any... Good luck!

Can you add me to your weight loss challenge please? I fear I've been cheating myself for the past few weeks with dodgy scales (yes, I know, that old chestnut) but I weighed in today (in public!!) with a brand new start weight of 10st4/BMI 25.3 and a target of 9st4/BMI 22.6 Not sure how this is going to work with what seems like endless work lunches, birthdays, dinners out and Christmas to contend with, but I guess that's why it's a challenge!

Well done on your weight loss up until now - 4lbs is great, Dinah! Come on Zig, Bails and Swinstie - we can do it too :T

Tete, have a fab time in Bath (even though you've probably already gone by now)!

Lara, exciting news about the house and sensible catering quotes! Dinah, not so good about the second viewing in the dark, but hope you get to see it again soon.

Bails, hope your OH comes back soon (and unscathed!) from the rafting. I'm loving the random and exciting glimpses into your life that you keep giving us - nearly drowning in the Zambezi?! Gosh!

Sorry about the mammoth first post, but I'd only been away a day and you'd moved home! Thanks for clearing up, Poolie :D

ETA: Lara, wowee!! I think it would be worrying if you weren't an excited and terrified wreck!
