It annoys me how much everything costs too. My friend is coming to London as she didn't have anything to do and we are going to have a couple of drinks and maybe see the fireworks, although that could potentially be difficult with the crowds.
Dinah - hope the knee gets sorted soon and thatis good news you have some painkillers.
My wii fit told me yesterday that I was overweight...well if I ever needed a push in the right direction. I am definitely doing something about this starting Friday!0 -
Mee toooo! I ate so many chocolates over Crimbo. I'll be down for the weigh-in challenge for 2010....:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

ROTE I envy your sewing skills! What a lovely stocking!
My New Years plans are undecided yet. I very rarely drink (have realised I haven't been able to stomach drink since I got ill in Newquay 5 years ago!) and so I get really bored being around drunk people. I thought me and OH were going to a friend's house party but another friend has suggested going to a Frank Turner gig an hour away. No doubt I'll be designated driver as I don't drink. So it looks like a fun night ahead for me!
Lol Cinny, good on you for being honest and saying it was the Fruit Salad of the sweet variety you were eating all night.
Hope your knee feels better soon Dinah, must be very painful and annoying.
My diet starts Monday, because I am going round my Dad's on the Sunday and he will no doubt do a pudding. And then I can offload the rest of my fudge. I'm gonna go back on WeightWatchers. I'm considering subscribing to the magazine so I slip off the wagon I'll feel guilty/motivated when my magazine comes through the door!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

19lbs off my goal doesn't sound like much to be honest, I prefer it in lbs rather than stones, seems more do-able! I was loosing about 6 lbs a month when I properly did the diet the first time, so I know it is doable. Just want to find out whats up with my knee so I can start doing some kind of exercise. Could probably start some upper body pilates or sit ups in the mean time.
Got my Ugg wedding wellies today (as put onto by TPA), everyone thinks its a brill idea to have wedding wellies in white in case it rains. Been wearing them round the house, they're way better than the ugg boots I got, they're fur lined top and bottom!
Someone asked about the GHDs, honestly, not that impressed, pretty disapointed, they're a little quicker than my mums straighteners, but dont get my hair as straight.
So, I'm now up to 9 medals on my challenge. Have added some really hard ones for me, to try to cut down on spending, so the 3 additional medals are:
Books Challenge (cut down the number I buy!): Bronze 20, Silver 10, Gold 5 Current tally:
Clothes Challenge (again, stop buying more!): Bronze £500, Silver £250, Gold £100 Current tally:
Tesco vouchers for uni fees by 31/12/2010: Bronze £100 Silver £250 Gold £500 Current tally:
The vouchers for uni fees one could be hard considering we're thinking of spending all our vouchers to date on going to New York! Think I might alter that one just to 'Tesco Vouchers'. In the interests of a round number of challenges I think I might try to think of a tenth medal challenge.
NIM is intending to join me on the medal challenge too, although going for fewer challenges, and sharing the savings one.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I think I have about 19-20lbs I want to lose. Will weigh myself tomorrow and see where I am.
I am surprised the GHD's sisn't work so well for you Dinah, I love them but then again my hais is pretty straight in the first place.0 -
aww has anyone seen the new changes to BB? theyve made it all hard to win any mone and you can only withdraw every 72 hours0
-
Yeah I saw that, mine ran out ages ago but that is annoying for those of you still playing. I knew it was too good to be true.0

Seriously?! My hair is super straight with my GHDs - are you using a good protection spray ect as that really helps it keep its shape and shineyface!
I love those wellies, I want some!! Love the idea of Wedding wellies too.
Liking the look of the medal challenges. As for the weight loss I'm only going for half a stone before my 19th (weightloss + toning up so I'm going low to account for maybe muscle weight!) How long is it until you hear back about your knee?
What are everyones NYRs? I'm stealing Tetes walking idea as my NYR this year and me & OH are going to go on a different walk each weekend. And to read a classic each month, my sister is doing this too so we're sharing books. Want to finish the new Marian Keyes today and kick off tomorrow with some Austen!
Hadn't seen the changes to BB! I haven't won even a penny for a week though and I've kind of given up. Did win about £60 in total though so I'm still chuffed - Feel sorry for Tete cause she's only just started!0 -

Seen them, have money waiting in both accounts waiting to withdraw. BUT, surely you could either just log in each day and let the bonus build up until you've withdrawn, or play the slots instead, where you can choose cash or bonus. Between the two of us we've won about £200 in total, think today or tomorrow is our last day.Liking the look of the medal challenges. I don't really do NYRs, guess my medals are my NYRs in a way.
I get the x-rays back in two weeks, have an appointment booked already to see the doctor. Went to see the asthma nurse this morning and my lung capacity is 76% of what it should be. Why am I so broken?!?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Poor broken Dinah! I started going downhill at 22, I'm going to be a wreck by 30! Just before Christmas I was in the doctors feeling a little 'funny' and ended up getting examined down below by the oldest doctor on the planet to be told that my cervix had abrasions on it! !!!!!!??? I didn't even know that was possible! I have to go back about my dodgy ankles but I'm staying clear of the doctors for a while after that!
I haven't chosen any NYRs yet, I know that I have to lose a good stone and a half (10st 10 this morning! Not good!) but I want to think of another good one to go with it. I like Cinny's one of reading one classic a month, if I wasn't drowning in new books and I hadn't already gone through a Classics stage a few years ago I'd be stealing that one!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
