Congratulations of becoming debt free Flower, what a great surprise from your OH! :T
Any news on the house Dinah? (Unless you've already said and I've missed it!)
I had a really odd dream last night, Dinah was organising a get together for people that read this thread and we thought they'd only be a few of us but there were hundreds! And we all had name tagsTotal Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Nope no news, they turned down our offer, so now we're just waiting on another one to come up for sale.

I know what you mean but it was on the repaying student loans thread.
Now, as I am sure you all remember, I used to work at Student Loans and specifically at one time the department that deals with the Post 1998 repaymers so know exactly what documentation and evidence is required if not working. Also I know how the tax system works as I had a very good colleague in the HMRC Student Loans section and we worked together many a time solving cases.0 -
So the house is now completely out of the picture? I agree with TPA, my grandparents have made money by turning bungalows into houses, although my Grandad is a builder so it's done cheaply for them.
Is Poddle doing the new diet challenge? After the past few days I need to join one! :rolleyes:Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Poddle - some people don't seem to want to listen to people who actually know better than them, why ask if you don't want the answer.
I managed to spend some of my vouchers today, got a top, leggings and dress and new look and two cardies in Zara. Zara was an absolute mess so think I will go back after the sales and see if there is anything else I want as still got a fair bit left. I have also done the food shopping and bought a new duvet set for the new duvet. I think at this rate will run out of money in about a week.0 -
I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling skint! I'm not even sure when I get paid again, really need to check!
I went sales shopping with my Mum and SIL in Newcastle today, I took about £40 and our joint account card in case I saw anything for the flat, no CCs for me, I'm turning over a new leaf and attempting to stick to what I'm allowed to spend! I got a nice necklace for £7.50 and new diary pages for my Filofax but everything else I bought was to put away for birthday presents for people! Like ROTE said yesterday, I usually spend loads (that I don't have) in the sales so I was impressed! My Mum thought I was coming down with something because I didn't even look at the clothes in John Lewis and Fenwick because I knew that even at half price they'd be too expensive!
Don't even mention diets to me, I'm feeling sooooo bloated and huge! I've been living in leggings and stretchy tops since Friday! Going to get on the Wii Fit now!

Hi all,
Another busy day at work today, we've been clearing the stock room out and trying to get it all in the shop to go in the sales. Customers are going mad for cards etc for next year. Is a nightmare trying to keep the shop tidy, but manager hates those shops that use the sales as an excuse for the shop being a mess!
Need some advice here - i bought OHs cousin a present today in the sale. Its her birthday in January, only bought it now because it was reduced from £15.99 down to £2.50. Only problem is, i now feel a bit stingy for only spending £2.50, am i being silly? Cousin wont know any different shes only going to be 6, and i know she'll love it.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
