Evening everyone!
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and got lots of nice presents. OH got me some lovely things, wasnt expecting much from him as i knew money was tight, but hes been putting some money away for a while without me knowing!
Got a new handbag, some everyday tops and some nice going out ones, a few books, lots of toiletries (saves me spending money on them), shoes, new dressing gown, pyjamas - i got spoilt rotton!
And the best present of all - we are now DEBT FREE!!! :j:j:j
OH has been putting some money away for a while and paid the credit card off (apart from his dads £1000 of debt) and surprised me on Christmas day!
All our family were really shocked and thought he was mad, but i thought it was lovely, and the fact that he bought me lots of presents was lovely aswell.
OH was really pleased with his camera. All in all was a lovely day.
Went to friends grave in the afternoon to lay a rose and saw her mum there. Was nice to have a chat with her, but felt so awful for her.
Think the last few days relaxing have done me the world of good, back to work tomorrow though!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Wow what an amazing surprise from your OH! I bet you were so pleased! Now you can start looking at saving up to move out again. The pressies sound lovely too, lucky girl!0

There are people wherever and 90% of the stock is on the floor and that was by 2pm!
I hate it when people do that! I always pick stuff up, or refold things even in Primarni when the rest of the stock is thrown everywhere. Weird you got a funny look though, I normally get a thanks!
Flower - What an amazing gift from your OH! Must feel great to finally be saving to move back out!
Dinah - That is such a lovely gift off your Mum! Hope you manage to find somewhere nice to go. 3k to clear in January doesn't seem too pretty, although I'm sure you'll be able to do it still!0 -
Flower, what a lovely thing for your OH to do. I would be made up if my DH did that.
It's out 1st wedding anniversary today, and I shouldn't really be on here, but as Max has been downstairs with us all night, there's no hope of anything vaguely romantic happening :rotfl:Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0 -
Aww Flower, that's wonderful - what a lovely Christmas present! I got some lovely things too, and bought a few bits today in the sales, some for pressies and some for me.
Hope you are all having a chilled out and relaxed time over the holidays, and best wishes to CMD to get better from your cold and Dinah hope your knee improves too. L x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Hi all! Flower, what a fantastic gift from your OH! He's such a star! I'm glad you're feeling better too
I'm back at work today but it shouldn't be for too long, we basically just have to show our faces for a while so no-one complains that we weren't in then we can go home (it's stock take but my department consists of about 20 items of stock so we just have to input that and twiddle our thumbs for a while, fun!)
I hope everyone got nice presents; my stash looked somewhat childish, I got a Barbie off my brother (an expensive collectable one, but a Barbie nonetheless!), a Hannah Montana watch, High School Musical Dance for the Wii and Disney Blu-Rays off OH! I ached yesterday from playing HSM Dance, I think I danced too hard!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Sounds like some good presents Birdie. Not surprised the high school musical dance game wore you out. I like the look of the new dance one thats out. OHs sister had it for Christmas and they said it was good.0

Heeey
sounds like everyone had a wicked christmas
and everyone got some lovely presents!
Dinah do you know where you're going to go on your weekend away?
Mum and dad got me some lovely things even though trhey are paying for my car tax aand car service so I feel really spoikt! My sister was kept in hospital on xmas eve too which was a bit sad but she's ok now I think.
The boy came for the weekend too and we had a lovely timejust I'm doin a shift today and he's back at work tomorrow so I won't see him for a whille!
I've got a massive load of work to do now over the hols, got an essay to complete, a 5000 word essay to start and the intro, literature review, planning, aims and some of te results sections of my dissertation to do - I started it yesterday, I've done 250 words yey!!!
I also have 4 final year exams so I'm getting a bit worried
Oh yeah and just to update u, I didn't get the job I interviewed for the other day - so I'm completely gutted.
Back to the money saving/making front though I guess... Its not going too well here really! I'm working 4 shifts over xmas so should get about £160 for the savings, also I'm up to 48000 miles ish on dooyoo so gonna try tonight to put 4 more reviews on so I can cash out for a cheque!still haven't fallen enough into the community I don't think, I need people to read and rate me more but I'm struggling and I've rated loads! Ah well its all free money really
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the cheque sent afterr you ask for it?
Also keep winning tiny amounts on BB like today I've won £1.25 lol I keep telling myself it doesn't seem worth it but whereelse could you make that much just by lending £20 for a few days? Evry little helps
The boy owes me quite a bit too atm but I'm sort of not thinking about it because we both know how much it is and I think he's gonna give me £100 per paycheck so ill get it back soon!
When I get home today I'm gonna try and do a bit of a bank account audit and check my CC because I'm not sure if I owe anythink on it and I have to pay rent on the 1st.
Has anyone seen any more good moneymaking offers or sites anywhere at all? I'm running low of ideas and I tried to get OH to join BB and share winnings with me but it wouldn't accept his carddon't know what else I can do really but I want to set myself a few 2010 money targets... What are everyone elses again?
One of mine I think will be to make £200 on dooyoo, recon that's do-able? (Not including the £50 I am hoping to cash out this weeek)
Also I want to open an isa
Also I want to save a lot this term as I know that everythings going to change when I graduate and I don't know if I will have a job really. Think ill be able to work my summer job again but I don't really want to! Especially not without the prospect of somewhere to go to after the summer!0 -
Er yeah sorry about that mamoth post! I'm bored and haven't posted in a while!0
