Sounds like you had a very very productive day!

Yeah, had a really good day. I can go away on hols safe in the knowledge that about 1/2 of my Xmas shopping is done. Feels good :)

Love the potential hairdo. Am not a fan of the severe hair scraped back wedding look. My sister is going for something very similar to that. Also love the dress. Your taste seems to be quite similar to mine so can't wait to see what you pick!

That is very organised CMD! You must feel very pleased with yourself! :) Tis good that you got so many Boots points back too!

Yeah am very pleased with my haul! Just need to get a swimsuit and maybe another top or 2 and will be sorted for hols. The only thing I won't wear again when I come back will be the white linen trousers but if they are still in good nick I will sell them on Ebay!

    How are you Zig?

    Haha, thanks Poddle! :D

ETA - I'm alright thanks CMD! Had a bit of a rant on my diary but I've calmed down now :p How are you? White linen trousers are like my Asia holiday staple! They go with anything. I also have black pairs. :D

When do you go on holiday and where? Is it Australia or am I getting confused with someone else? I'm rubbish at remembering things!

    Hi all!

I like the concept of the first table decoration Dinah, it looks a little 'twiggy' though IYSWIM but it may just be the angle of the photo? With more definition to the branch it would be lovely I think. I prefer the flowers in the second one, and the mirror would be good for enhancing the light. Hair nice too. We're hoping to have OH do mini sculptures for our table decorations with flowers intertwined - I have no idea what they'll look like but know he'll do a great job.

As for the matched betting, maybe when I get back I could help you a little if you're interested? I've only done a small amount but had got my head around it - will need to again as I want to do it myself too.

The way I look at all the moneymaking ideas is, which gives me the best hourly rate? Some of us on the 4K used to do free bingo every week and while we had a good laugh with each other, the hourly rate was appalling! I appreciate that this will be different for everyone but it's a good way of looking at what you're doing to see where to focus your time for maximum pennies. When I get back I'll be joining LETS (which I'd already planned to do) and using my tokens to 'buy' services that cost more than my own hourly rate e.g. a massage costs £40 but I earn £25 an hour.

    Great work CMD!

    Whats LETS?

That'd be great regarding the MBing, its the kind of thing NIM would be good at, but I'm a bit more wordy and less numerical than him.

I'm having a bit of a wobble about our church, not sure if its the right one for us, which is throwing me into a tizz over whether to book it for the wedding.

As in, a bit of a wobble about being part of that church as opposed to another one you mean? Hmm, have you moved there recently? Where was your usual church, could you get married there?

Cool about the MB, we can learn/relearn together :T

LETS is a skills-trading scheme - each place has a 'currency' where you earn some for providing your skills for someone eg for me say, an hour's tuition and then you can 'redeem' your currency for services you need eg getting your car fixed, babysitting etc etc. It depends who is part of your local scheme as to what's on offer. The idea is to get away from a cash society and become part of a community I think, like in the 'good ol' days' when everyone helped each other out :confused:Here's a link to my local one

I *love* DOTD Dinah, it's properly va va voom!

When you were writing about the church before I got the impression that they would marry you even if you lived together, but not let you join fully. Not sure if that was right, but I thought it was a bit harsh. There are so many nice churches, why don't you try a few more and if you still prefer the one you go to now you'll know for sure that you want to get married there.

Nah not about one another Bails, just the church. We've heard rumours when we become members we'd have to give tithes, and tbh neither of us agree with a compulsary direct debit, giving should be at our discression I feel. And we don't see the point of being at a church we're never going to agree with or join.

I love the dress and the hair as well. Is nice because it wouldn't be too different from your everyday hair so you would still look like you which is important and I agree the scraped back look isn't very nice.

That is a bit off about the church , I would make sure you know all the details before you book as you don't want to regret it later.

    Morning!!

Well done to Dinah + Tete for getting on the front DooYoo page :j

Dinah - I love the look of the twiggy-candle thing! Would be nice for your Autumn-y wedding too. I prefer the 1st flowers for putting in the Church though, they just look a bit prettier! Love the hair style too!
Sounds a bit off with the Church though, are there any other ones nearby you could go too? They sound pretty harsh!

Right, all your DooYoo accounts should have my face plastered on them now! Just about to start on Dinahs reviews now, then I think I've caught up!
