Egyptian currency

Hello there, I am off on a Nile cruise next week and wonder where is the best place to purchase Eqyptian currency. Also is there any problems using credit/debit cards as I have heard off cards being cloned.
Be greatful for any help.

Whoever you talk to will tell you different. When i went i took local currency so i wouldnt get scammed by the inflated prices in $.

I got mine from Thomas Cook i think.

Just make sure you carry loads of small notes, its amazing how few Egyptians have change.

Just take a small amount, exchange rate in Egypt is much better when you buy currency while over there

Bear in mind that one of the most common ways of transmission of 'Pharaoh's Revenge' is picking up nasty bugs from banknotes in Egypt. They are invariably filthy. I know at least two people who have contracted illness this way, despite taking every hygiene precaution possible.
