Transferring text messages from phone to phone
I have a Samsung D900 full of text messages which I would like to keep and transfer to my new HTC Hero.
I have previously saved them to my pc using the Samsung PC studio software that came with the phone but is there anyway I can now transfer them on to my new phone or will there be a problem with compatibility issues.
Also the photos seem ok as they appear to be saved as JPEG files but the videos are "3GP" files - can I use these on a Hero?

Same here! My D900 is moving on the next few days but i have loads of texts i want/need to keep.
I was just going to max out my allowance and forward them all on to the new number to be honest. My main concern was how i could label them correctly as they will all show up as having come from the old phone number but i'd like to list them in order of whom they actually came from.0 -
The HTC hero does support 3GP files, so you should have no problem.
As far as I know, there's no easy way of doing it. When I got rid of my last phone, I wrote them all down as a text file on my computer. It took three weeks.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
I've never found a way of moving text, my wife always asks. You can do it from, say Nokia to Nokia (sometimes) but between manufactures, no way I've ever found.0

If the worst comes to the worst, can't you just copy them to the SIM and transfer them that way?Stompa0
