Have you got anywhere with the DRO?
Hi there,
Not yet. I contacted all my creditors last week to ask for up-to-date confirmations of my balances but they haven't all written back yet. When they do, I'll get the ball rolling again...:eek:0 -
Short post tonight as it's getting late...;)
Moneywise, spent £35 on football kits for the boys today (managed to get a fiver off staff discount), £6.00 on tea for my ex-wife and daughter and £15.00 on petrol (15 Nectar points) which takes me above 1,000 Nectar points and thus £5 off Argos products.
Didn't speak to or see DS2 and DS3 today.... but did see DD1 but missed DS1.... follow that?
Didn't see YM as I wasn't on the school run today but the plenty of fish woman sent a message tonight....:D and left me her mobile number!!0 -
Bad day for the diet today, I've put loads on this week....
Had a day of doing nothing very much today too, motivation is at an all-time low. I've managed to wrap some of the boys birthday presents for tomorrow. They're going to be mascots at the football tomorrow though they still don't know it. Part of their present each is a football kit which they can open tomorrow, try on then I'll mention the mascot bit - they will be made up!!
Spent £10 on gas, went shopping this morning and spent £24.45 plus £3.04 on postage at the post office plus £2.10 on treats tonight...;)0 -
I have two tired but happy little boys this morning after yesterday. They were mascots at their favourite football team (the one I work at) and had a wonderful time despite truly appalling weather.
Got them there at 1.00pm then left them with the welcomer who took them down to meet the players, get a football signed by all the team. One of the players thought that DS2 had gone to him for his autograph twice when actually it was DS3 the second time....:rotfl:. They then got a tour of the ground before getting changed and going out on to the pitch. They have a kickabout then come in before leading the team out for the game....great day for them and they're sat on the settee now hugging them.
Had a pint in the bar when they were in the club (£2.70), bought a Golden Gamble ticket (£1) and £15.00 of petrol (15 Nectar points). The game today has been cancelled so we're having a settled, quiet day today... will try and get an article up on the site today and write one for the programme.0 -
Well didn't get any work done today as just wanted to dry out and stay chilled after the excitement of yesterday....;)
No football as it was postponed so we were all set up to go and watch another under-9 match instead however it started raining almost immediately so we retreated...
Spent £4.72 on a mini-shop tonight plus a pound at the quiz tonight. We were truly rubbish tonight and didn't look like winning so back to paying for our drinks next week!!0 -
Sorry that I haven't updated the diary now for two days, life seems to have been so busy....
Monday seemed to pass in a flash. Had a pre-booked usual courier job on Monday morning and evening plus had the pleasure of DS2 and DS3 for ten minutes as I picked them up from school. Their mum is still in a sling so I picked up some trainers for DS3 from sportsdirect.com and a print from Ikea for her (not included in spending diary as she paid up)>
Tuesday was a long old day. Went to Gillingham, Kent last night for the football match and got back at 1.15am this morning. I get free entry for the game which was good as it would have been £23 normally.... Stopped at Clacket Lane Services on the way, met some friends and bought tea there (£8.04) and stopped again on the way back for petrol (£25.00) and some munchies (£1.96)...
It's the twins birthday today, they're nine....:T:beer: (by the way, that's not them with the pint glasses). Bought their presents last week but got a couple of annuals in Asda yesterday (£7.00) plus did a small mini-shop (£4.74)...0 -

May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T0 -
Another two day update... I'm getting good at this.
Yesterday I went to bed at 8.45pm as I was so tired from the night before (went to bed at 2.30am, up again at 8.00am). Got up fairly early today as wanted to ring the children this morning. Drove down to the football club today - today's spending was £15.00 on petrol (15 Nectar points), £2.50 on two birthday cards, £4.65 on coffee and doughnuts (my turn to buy), £1.25 on lunch and £1.50 on tea. I'm spending way too much on shopping and food and expect to see that I'm way over budget on these at the end of the month when I do a spending summary.
Only spend yesterday that I can remember was a tenner on gas and £8.40 on bread, ham, milk, biscuits etc in Asda yesterday.
Finances wise, I'm late with my rent again this month as the football club still hasn't paid me yet. They're a week late now and causing me grief. I recieved the BACS confirmation from them today but I don't think the money will go in until Monday which means I'll have about £27 to last the weekend. Out of that I need to do my weekly shop...:eek:0 -
Settled down for breakfast this morning when the phone rang. It was the ex asking me if I could take her daughter to school as the bus had driven by without picking her up....
. Quick coffee, get dressed and picked her up and got her to school with three minutes to spare. Got to spend thirty seconds with the boys which was nice...:T
Managed to write two articles today comprising 1,300 words and interviewed someone else so I can write another one tomorrow. Went shopping this morning and spent £6.83 in Sainsbury's (though it only cost £1.83 as I knocked £5 off with my Nectar card). The boys have a birthday party to go to tomorrow so I spent £6.99 on a bag/wallet/pencil case combo for him.
Not much else planned tomorrow as the money hasn't gone into my account yet. If it does, we might go to Bath tomorrow afternoon to watch a match, if not we'll be staying at home.:D0 -
Today was as near to a no-spend day as I've yet been. Only have £8.40 left until Monday so it was pretty much self-inflicted anyway but just spent £2.18 on two birthday cards for the little boy whose birthday party the twins went to. It was a ceramics party followed by McDonalds so I had no children for 2.5 hours....
Other than that, we've stayed in having a boys day in really. Watched the football this afternoon followed by making them their favourite tea (one has lasagne, the other spag bol) then snuggling on the sofa for X-Factor....
Tomorrow might bring their first football match providing we don't get too much rain overnight. Hope so otherwise they'll start getting cabin fever....:D0
