Also got my new cashcard through this morning for the Halifax Cardcash account. This is going to be a completely separate business account used only for business and not both as I do at the moment. I really need to sort my accounts out once and for all as they're in a muddle.

It's one of the things I used to be a nightmare with but in my new, improved life, I need to be far more organised. I need one account for business, one for everyday use and one for savings... that's it, nothing more!! No need to pointlessly complicate things, is there?

Well done on your radio interviews and your weight loss.

Only a pack and a half of jaffa cakes? LOL. Good luck with that woman you like.

Hi Anglea - it's not radio interviews, it's interviews for the matchday programme....;)

Football was on today so trooped off down there at lunchtime, spending £15.00 on petrol ( 15 Nectar points ), £1.55 on some chocolate and a £1 Golden Gamble ticket ( didn't win again.... ). The boys were happy though as I introduced them to a footballer who once cost £2 million and played 81 times for his country....:D

That's all to report from a very quiet day really. Chilled by watching X Factor tonight on and off really.

The boys' mum is going into hospital either tomorrow or Monday so I get to keep them a bit longer than normal...:j:T. She fell over and fractured her collarbone a while ago when she was drunk and the bone hasn't knitted properly so she's having it re-operated on now.

Tomorrow may well be a NSD as the weather may keep us in all day!

    :D:D

Almost a no-spend day today. Went to the pub quiz tonight with our eight drinks vouchers won from last week and promptly came second winning...... another eight drinks vouchers! :rotfl:. They can only be used for alcoholic drinks so I only ever have one drink per evening so aside from the £1.00 entry fee, I've spent nothing today...:T

Took the boys home at 5.00pm but it's only a brief time apart as I'm taking them to school tomorrow morning, collecting them again at home time and they're having a sleepover tomorrow night....:j:j:j. Their mum is going into hospital tomorrow morning for her operation so I've got them extra nights....:D

Just altered my signature as another pound has come off even though I haven't been that good recently on the diet. Says a lot about how I ate before that I still eat relatively poorly and still lose weight...

Did a big shop this morning to get organised for this week. Looks like I'm busy every night now for this week and half of next which is nice so using today as a "get sorted day".

Took the boys mum to hospital this morning and got them back to school in time. Saw the yummy mummy today but only to :D and :hello: at. She really is :smileyhea, sorry.

Anyhow treated myself to some new bed linen from Asda (£19 for a complete king size set plus fitted sheet) and some new mugs for coffee (£4) too which inflated my shop to £62.75.....

Off to get a haircut now while I have the money and before it looks like a badly trimmed hedge.

Expensive old day today. Shopping earlier then went for a haircut (£12 cut plus £2 for parking). Could easily have gone somewhere closer and cheaper but I've been going there now for almost ten years and feel comfortable.

£20 of petrol in the car, £10 of gas on the card and £3.00 of Match Attacks complete my spending for the day.

Did an interview with a footballer today and almost overran the school run!! Got there ten minutes before kids came out thankfully but had to park in a different place and bumped into yummy mummy Teresa. She walked with me to school, had a chat along the way too...:D. The kids came out and we walked back to the cars together, her daughter was crying as she hurt her knee but I somehow managed to get her to calm down and make her laugh too...:o

She looked at me and said "You're really funny!". I said "Funny as in peculiar?" and she said "No, funny as in a comedian." Didn't know what to say. There is definitely a spark there but I can't pluck up courage to ask if she's single....

Boys staying over tonight so I'm on the school run tomorrow :j and have two articles to write tomorrow morning. Not much else planned.

    Yummy mummy sounds very tasty!

Could you not casually drop into the conversation,

"What does your husband do", if she goes all coy and says, "i'm not with anybody" ;), then you're in with a good chance. If she says, "he's a butcher", then hand's off, if you want to keep them.

Another pound off is great :p.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Managed to get away with spending just £8.22 today which is quite good for me. Still haven't had an NSD yet this month which is a target to go for, I think...

Spent £6.22 in Wilkinson's this morning on a ream of A4 white paper, hair gel, mouthwash and an extension lead. Popped into Clinton Cards to pick up a birthday card for the twins ( they're 9 next Wednesday) but this isn't from me, I'm going to get the whole first team squad to sign it at training on Thursday for them - they'll be made up.

Took them to school this morning and only caught the briefest of waves from YM before she took her daughter into school ( she was late). Sorted out a lot of paperwork today, got some articles done and picked the boys up from a friends house tonight, fed them, bathed them and took them home. Their mum is out of hospital now but in pain so looks like I'm running errands again...

House looks tidy, desk looks tidy so off to bed in a minute as have business post run tomorrow morning, boys from 3pm - 7pm in the evening and programme deadline tomorrow as well as papers to squeeze in somewhere.

Up at 6.15am to do the business post run this morning. Wrote five articles today for the football programme - deadline has just passed about thirty minutes ago so life should quieten down a little now.

Spent £4.19 on a mini-shop tonight (including sugar and milk for work tomorrow which I'll get back). Started getting some presents for the twins birthday next week. They love their golf so bought them a golf trolley each, an extra club each (they have three clubs at present), a water bottle each and a pair of astroturf trainers each. The trainers were reduced from £30 down to £5 at sportsdirect.com and they're doing free delivery on orders of £50 or more so all the above came to £52.73 in total...:T

Also bought Harry the JLS CD from Tesco's online earning myself another 500 Clubcard points in the process. I'll convert this to a £20 voucher making the purchase a total bargain....:D

Tomorrow will cost a bit. Buying two pairs of shorts and two pairs of socks for the boys (£38) plus £5 for a lanyard (a necklace type thing that you put an ID card on) and I'll need petrol in the morning. Will buy from a BP garage as I'm 14 points short of being able to spend a fiver from my points total.

Haven't really mentioned YM as I only saw her briefly today. She had the shortest possible conversation with me making me wonder whether my chats with her have frightened her off. Strangely enough, a woman has started chatting with me on Plentyoffish so they're arriving like buses at the moment...
