Wow - I've only just had a look at the thread the OP linked to - I think that's called a 'circle Jerk'...and I'm not gonna link to a definition

I know from the rooms here I frequent (just 2 of them) the average 'thanks' useful posters get is around 50% of their post count, anyone with much less I take their advice with a pinch of salt, anyone with much more and I throw the whole bag in.

Then again, everyone spending a lot of time here already thinks they're clever..and doesn't need telling every 5 minutes (and we don't want to encourage each other to get big-headed)
