New phone and contract advice

I have had some problems with Mobile Rainbow and I think I am going to cancel the contract before I get the phone and have to pay cancellation fee, so....

I am looking for a decent phone with a 2 mega pixel camera, video, bluetooth, MP3 and preferably FM radio. The phone I ordered with Mobile Rainbow was the SE 750i, contract with o2, 200 mins and 100 texts.

Can anyone please point me towards a good deal, dont mind if it is a redemption deal as long as it is a reliable company that will give me my money back.

Thanks in advance

The Nokia 6280 I believe meets all your requirements. It is also completely free on 3 - 12 months free Line Rental at £35 per month for 400 minutes and 250 texts a month. It's available through Phoneboxdirect, and it is mentioned in another post on MSE.

  • Thanks - I will have a look at that. How do the features compare with the SE750i?

PS - what the hell is this quidco thing all about?

I think the phone is a little bit bigger all round than the SE K750i, the 6280 is a 3G phone, so you get even more added into the bargain. I tried it out a few weeks back and was very impressed. I only sent it back because I just wanted to try it out and made sure the next phone I choose is one I will be happy with as the last few have been nightmares!

Quidco is a cashback site, where basically you get cashback for buying items through a link they offer. You need a PayPal account, then you can sign up for Quidco, and then, once logged on, the next time you want to go and buy something online, by all means look online as to see who offers the best deal, but before you buy it, see if the company that has the best deal are affiliated to Quidco. If they are, you will see how much they offer when you purchase something from them through Quidco. For purchases, it is often percentages of your order before P&P etc, but for others, such as gambling and mobile phone sites, they offer you a cash sum. If you then click through the link that Quidco offer, you then need to find the product again, but when you have ordered it, you should shortly see that transaction logged through your Quidco account.

For example, Play.com offer 4% for purchases. So if you bought a CD for £10from them, you would then earn 40p cashback through Quidco.

If you order a phone through Phonebox Direct, they will offer you £30.

It's not bad, but they charge you an admin fee of £5 per year, and some transactions take longer to track than others, but it is a very good site. Their address is https://www.quidco.com and that may help you further.
