Hayle places to eat

Booked a couple of nights here so that OH can photograph St Michaels Mount. Does anyone know of any inexpensive pubs/restaurants in the area?

Not overly expensive but if your looking to save money you will have to go into Penzance, not a lot of competition in Hayle!

"The Bucket of Blood" is a great pub doing decent food

Just outside Hayle toewn centre on the A30 junction that leads to it there is a large pub Loggans Moor attached to Premier Inn (I think) where the M&S and Next stores are located. It is a Brewers Fayre so standard pub chain grub at reasonable prices.

If you are staying self catering there is a largish Coop and a Lidl in the town area. If you like a decent pasty (who doesn't!) then IMO some of the best pasties anywhere are made at the Philps (sp?) bakery at the St Ives end of the Hayle town (you can't miss it!). There is also a Philps in Marozin where you will go to see St Michaels' Mount and a few nice little cafe's and pubs there also

Have fun its a great part of the world. Also try and get down to Carbis Bay beach (on your way to St Ive's) - some great views and wonderful beach. Also plenty of photo oppurtunituies along that coast path from Carbis Bay to St Ives - its a nice walk
