Question to all iphone 3GS users who have upgraded fw from 3.0.x > 3.1.x

Hi

What is the general concensus on battery life when upgrading from 3.0.x to 3.1.x....does the battery life improve or get worse? At the moment I'm on 3.0.1 (jailbroken+unlocked) but get terrible battery life when just using edge to web browse so wondering whether I will get any improvement if I update to custom fw 3.1.2?

ps yes I do switch off location services, 3g, wifi etc but battery life still sucks when using edge on my 3gs :eek:

I'm not JB, but on 3.1.2 I get through a day no problem, with location services on, 3G, wi-fi as as and when I need it. At the end of a yesterday I had 55% reaming around 11pm, having taken it off charge around 8am.

Upgraded it two weeks ago, have a 16GB newbie, battery will last about 18 hours, if I dont play too many games on it, has not made any significant changes to battery life since upgrade.

same with mine, it does seem to be better than before
