Sounds like loads of people have had a budget in mind for Xmas and instead of saving the 50% are buying their kids twice as much instead lol.
Think i'm a little guilty of that too(well not quite twice as much though!)

I phoned Sainsburys about 15 minutes ago as I hadn't received a 'your sainsbury's order has been despatched' email. The chap I spoke to checked my order and said my order is OK and will arrive tomorrow.
As if by magic I have now received my email.
The only thing is I realised when I was on the phone that when I typed my post code in for the order and did the automatic address search my village isn't showing up just the town. I mentioned this to the chap and he said there shouldn't be a problem as they use GPS trackers. The only thing is for some strange reasons they send people a couple of villages away.
Oh well fingers crossed it will arrive safely otherwise I will have to get on the phone again.0 -

When i was in my local(bolton) this morning the shelves where full and they had a row of trolleys full of more toys. the girls sorting them said their store was full to the brim with toys so i suspect it maybe worth your wile to have a look. They just keep replenishing the stock onto shelves.0

i went to my local store earlier and got a few bits, not much on the shelves for my boys, mostly for young children (I'd say 2 and under!) but I did manage to get the Peppa Pig classroom set and two Power Rangers motorbikes which I'm really pleased about!
They were re-stocking the shelves while I was there too so I'd say it's still worth popping in if you can, they said it's on for the next 7 days0 -
Wish I could afford to spend hundreds of pounds on toys!
I have a budget of £50 for each of my daughters this Christmas. Hope I can get some half price lego in the morning and it hasn't all been bought up by people with hundreds to spend...bitter, me? Nah.
£50 is just perfect for a child, on principal I don't spend hundreds as they don't appreciate the more they get! I buy half price so i suppose i get £100 worth for £50 which is MORE than enough.
Just imagine the clutter in their houses with £300 odd worth of toys going about. Eh no thanks...... :rotfl:Envy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0 -

Thank you so much for everyone who contributed to this thread as I would never have known about this sale otherwise (no nearby Sainsburys). I decided to try my luck and wait until midnight to check the website, really wasn't hopeful but was so pleased when it happened.
I have spent the day quietly worrying though as my order has been stuck in "processing" but finally I received the magic dispatched email about 6pm so I guess they are still working through them.
Thanks again everyone!!0
