'How many shaves per razor?'

Hi all,
A good tip Ilearned to keep your razors sharp and so prolong their life is before and after every shave, PUSH not pull them up the side of your denim jeans about 10-12 times.
Apparently as these blades are precision made to a high degree this action gets rid of tiny imperfections and burrs made through shaving. Just the same as the old barber running the cut throat razor on a leather strop.
Seems to keep them in good nick

The King of Shaves Azor razor is what I've switched to. You can get them at Morrisons and I reckon the blades last twice as long as the Gillette and Wilkinson Sword ones, as well as being cheaper. Using decent quality gel helps as well - the Original Source stuff is working well at the moment. Shaving in the shower also makes your skin nice and soft and provides for a better shave. I still get a rash nearly every time though - in-growing stubble doesn't help!
