I use a holder that has an area built in that you push the blade up after each shave. This cleans it and keeps it sharp. It really does increase the life of the blades by 5 times or so, and stops me putting so many blades into landfill.

    :A
They actually work then? Have seen them but things normally never live up to the claims they make.
  • ... and ahem down there...

Brazillian or Who loves ya baby?

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.
  • Though men appear more economical in shaving more often with the same razor, women have a much larger area to shave than men. Which makes us the more thrifty (no change there then)!
  • I start my shave with the one one I finished my last shave on and then finish off with a new one.

Men's thicker coarser more densely populated hairs blunt blades faster though.

I've got an epilady - even for my armpits (hurts like h*ll the first couple of times - you need a pile of tissues to wipe away the tears :rotfl:but I can't feel it now). I must have been really useless with razors because I always ended up with skin being sliced off my legs with them  and loads of areas which were bleeding . I've still got scars from about 30 years ago!

I keep a jam jar on the bathroom shelf behind the shower curtain with a couple of inches of veg oil in it. The rinsed shaken razors live there for months and they only very slowly loose their sharpness.
  • I thought it would be obvious that us ladies use the razor for less shaves. We have got a bigger area to do.

They have only got the 5 o clock shadow to worry about.

How many men do you know that do their legs, underarms and tidy up the garden (so to speak)

:rotfl:I like tidy gardens. I find it itches after shaving down there though :rotfl:
  • For the thrifty out there, reinvigorate a disposable razor by dunking it in boiling water before a shave.. works brilliantly! :T
