I would like to give my 12 year old grandson a Samsung E250 mobile.
I've owned one myself for the past two years and been very happy with it.

Does anyone know if the access to the Internet can be disabled completely on this phone?
The phone will be on Tesco Lite and I know I can put the parental control over the content that could be accessed. But I really would like to disable the service completely, being as I will be paying the top-ups.

Just in case anyone else would like to know the answer.

I emailed Tesco Mobile, asking if they could disable the Internet altogether.
They emailed me back within 24 hours and said that they could certainly do so. They just needed a few sercurity details....date and amount of last top-up.... last two numbers dialled....last four digits of Clubcard.

The internet will be disabled on the sim within the next 48 hours - Sorted :T

That's a great idea, nice one and thanks for sharing.

I just had a thought, if it couldn't be done, there might have been an alternative option - go into the settings, and delete the internet settings. It wouldn't be able to connect then. Perhaps

I did wonder about that but wasn't sure if doing so would affect the calling and texting.
