Weekly Flylady Thread 26th October 2009

Thanks for the new thread. I'm in again this week, but not chasing stars as I'm random again! I've been working at my flat; carpets are being fitted next week and hope to move in shortly after; I'll try to check in now and again as this thread gets me motivated, its about the only thing that does

Jobs this week
here:
dailies
laundry
get rid of surplus-to-requirements bookshelf, table and cabinet
pack something!
sort out temporary curtains and net/blinds
.
at the flat:
finish wiping out kitchen cupboards
clean kitchen fronts and tops
clean windows - glass and frames
wipe over paintwork
vac and mop floors
put up temporary curtains, nets etc

I feel really bad that I can't keep up with the flying threads but I'm sending positive thoughts and hugs to anyone who needs one

Thanks to Pigpen, Toots and Soappie for the thread and their [STRIKE]mule throwing[/STRIKE] encouragement. I'm in again this week - and hopefully following the lists properly - got away with being a lazy moo last week cause I'd cleaned so well the week before

Haven't caught up with last weeks thread yet so hugs to all that need them and have a good flying week everyone.

Would love to say I am fully in but I am having an 'as necessary' week. I will be doing what is necessary & nothing more (until Saturday)! Tomorrow it is necessary to pack/post an ebay item, do a couple of washer loads, empty the cardboard from my car and pack to go to the caravan

We've just moved to a three bed house from a tiny one bed flat and I'm struggling to get organised with the housework, I'm hoping this thread might help!

My list for tomorrow is-

Monday ~ Living room, Hall and Stairs
Level One
Declutter the floors
Vacuum said decluttered floors!
Level Two
declutter and dust shelves putting back only what should be there
Wipe the sofas if needed
Clean Bathroom
Level Three
Wash any soft furnishings that are in need
Clear and wipe window sills, and any electricals and picture frames etc
Empty and clear out a cupboard or drawer..
Extras

1. HHI
2. Check all the winter coats are clean and ready to wear.. and put away all the summer ones! Polish your wellies!!
3. binbag dance
4. Wash any windows that have been neglected

My Extras

1. Move computer desk from dining room to spare room.

Is this ok? I changed the wiping plants bit as I dont have any! And my bathroom desperatly needs a clean!:o Any advice you guys have would be greatly received!

One quick question, why is it called the Flylady thread?:D

Yes there is the original site in the US - FLY stands for Finally Loving Yourself - by getting organised in the home and yourself you begin to feel good about yourself I think is the basic idea.

But did you know that the word is a backronym???????

Suggestions needed - My stair carpet is stained very very badly and although I have a carpet cleaner it is basic and has no attachments, any ideas on how to get them back to their originalish colour?
