Spent most of today planning. I was inspired by one of the speakers yesterday, and totally changed my plans for Year 8. We're all getting watched this week, so I sincerely hope she'll be impressed...It'll either be fantastic or an epic disaster. I was finally sent the new groupings for Year 7, I have all three bottom sets for Spanish, and no French at all. I'm not ecstatic. On the plus side, I'll only have to plan one set of lessons, and just repeat it three times.
It's rained pretty much all day. I took DS2 to rugby at Dover, and he got soaked, but had a really good time. They lost again, but not by quite such a huge margin.
Popped into town this afternoon for a break, and got some bits in Boots - things I needed anyway, and used my No 7 voucher.
Love and hugs to Toots and Lady-Liberty.
Wave and virtual chocolate to hex - or a virtual bunch of flowers if you prefer!
pigpen - I have my fingers in my ears, and la,la,la I can't hear you!
Have a good day tomorrow, and see you all Tuesday! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

I've learnt with RTV that you need to keep the nutters in to make it entertaining:p I don't want them to actually win (although it would be hilarious) just to stay in for a few more weeks. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

DH has cooked dinner - lamb chops with rice and gravy (like you have on roast dinner) which wasn't to my taste at all, but he liked it and at least I'm full up now.
See you on the new thread after x-factor"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Wind must have changed direction - my leak is back - the one the rain can find but not the roofer.
:mad::mad::mad:
I have an occasional leak which has obviously been happening on and off for years... it looks as if in certain weathers (driving rain from the SW) it gets under the flashing round the chimney, which has lifted slightly. When I had the roof redone it improved for a while, but it has lifted again on the south side and I have had one or two big leaks in the last few years. I can't find a decent roofer to check it out, so I'm living with it for the moment...
(((hugs))) hex
I've sorted all my underwear drawers (knickers, bras, nightwear, socks, tights, vests). I keep my underwear in a CD chest so that I can sort it easily (e.g. sheer and opaque tights are separate). They're all nice and tidy, and as I can't be bothered to try stuff on, I'll dump vests/nightwear when I get them out if they don't fit. I've thrown out lots of knickers (I have lots of lovely underwear but only seem to wear the grotty stuff!). I've also emptied my chest of drawers & camphorwood chest and sorted the stuff into smart and casual, and thrown out the obvious stuff. I'm going to try to deal with the rest slowly over the rest of this week. It's all sorted into piles on the top of the chest and chest of drawers, so I can't ignore it for too long (hopefully). I'm going to bag up the stuff that's definitely going and get some supper sorted.
I will also try to remember to go to the recycling centre (with DVDs and books & possibly glass) on the way back from physio tomorrow to get rid of a bit of junk.0 -
Jeward...NO...NO....NO.....NO.......NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

Dusty, if it can wait a couple of weeks I need to go to the Nottingham one, and I will be down your way several times in the next month or so.
Thanks Serena.
The wind was so strong here earlier that the wisteria supports snapped and we had to rig up emergency ones! Some damage, won't know how bad until the morning and daylight.
Trying (and failing) to make myself do a weeks worth of ironing so at least I dont have to find time to do that again. I have double booked myself for the morning, and not prepared for my meeting. Must just go and find a paper bag to breathe in.....'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
