Not sure what you mean exactly - frozen and then working for texts and calls?
Taking out battery etc - Have you tried resetting the whole phone?
Nothing works - its down to a repair centre for repair under warranty hopefully.0 -

we know a txt has arived but the screen is frozen so we cannot access the mesages or any aplication on the screen
resetting would be an idea if this can be done as long as we dont have to use the screen to access this ?
, yes we tried taking the battery out but no luck

Taking it to the shop probably best idea then.
When you do take battery out, its worth taking it out for 2 minutes at least. But if that does not work, there is not much you can do yourself - perhaps connecting to the pc might wake it up but unlikely. Take it to shop, cpw are usually official repair centres or you could send it to samsun direct (but can cost money to get it repaired as well getting it back if its deemed to be a user caused problem).0 -
