SKY Plus Box Problems

I have had my Sky Plus box now for a few years and love all the classic albulms that are shown on Sky Arts. But for the life of me, when wanting to watch a Concert by John Lydon in Brixton, the box keeps asking for my pin number. Even at gone 11 O'clock in the evening, it asks for a pin number. Fraid not ... I phoned Sky once to find out whether it was possible to remove the pin no .... nope is the answer!! Drives me nuts, cause I can never remember the b****y thing!!
