Las Vegas

Hi everyone

I am looking to go to Las Vegas for 7 nights, having never been before and with so much choice on offer, can anyone tell me what is the best hotel on the strip to stay in. Not worried about the cost as this is the only time I am likely to go, so want to stay at the best.

Many Thanks
Marcus

There are tens maybe even hundreds of threads on here about las vegas, please do a search.

Two very good sites to look at are https://www.cheapolasvegs.com and a chat forum https://www.lasvegastalk.com.

The best hotel to stay in is down to location and the price you want to pay.

Sorry didnt see the bit about cost. the best( the most expensive) hotels are the bellagio and the wynn or THE Hotel (mandalay bay) but that is not in a great position where as the other two are IMO

If money is no object then for the sake of the name I would suggest Caesars Palace which is pretty much in the middle of the strip. I would then consider Bellagio or the Monte Carlo.

The Helicpoter trip will be something we are definately doing.

So it seems to come down to one of these 3

    Ceasars Palace
    Bellagio
    Monte Carlo

I had already considered the Bellagio so that may be the one i choose. Before I do has anyone had experience of staying at any of the said hotels?

I have an American friend who stays at the Bellagio often and she says its absolutely wonderful... she take one of their suites and sent me some pics, the bathroom was to die for.... the service is second to none.

    Have a wonderful time

I really liked the Luxor, but it is towards the end of the Strip, rather than being right in the middle.

It was cool using an inclinator rather than an elevator.

If you check out the cheapovegas site i suggested you will find that because of the age of (most parts) ceasers palace that the rooms are small.

You would not be disappointed with the Bellagio or I forgot about the Venitian
and also the newest on the strip is The Wynn,

Personally I wouldnt spend that much to stay in Vegas, I like to stay in decent hotels and always wait for deals to come up on lasvegastalk.com.

$59 for the aladdin last month instead of $159 and although you say it will be your only visit, if like me you fall in love with the place you will keep going back, I have just booked my flight for my 5th visit in 7 years

The Monte carlo you mention is not really in the same leagues as the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Luxor, venetian which are all hotels I don't really think you would be disappointed in etc. I have stayed in Ballys which was ok but nothing special. Paris is very nice with a great shopping experience too and central strip. Another consideration to save mone is to stay off strip which is a little more relaxing if you like that too. I stayed at the Suncoast, which after years of travel I have to say had the best value room i have ever stayed in and the food option was great with lots to do for the kids too like a huge bowling alley. the hotel laid on a bus to central strip very frequently right up til about midnight-may be worth considering also it was within walking distance of a beautiful golf course-if I was going to go back that is definately where I would stay mainly to relax a little with perhaps a few days at paris to finish the holiday off with a bang. With some time in front of the computer you can very easily pick and choose your hotels and itineray to find the best value rooms-for example Caesars may have a promotion on for 3 days of the week and Luxor for the other 4 or the off strip option-this is not difficult to do. Also look at trip advisor ratings for hotels in las vegas (it rates them on best reviews) and is very useful
