My sky talk bill has gone down from approx £100 a month to £30 a month.

I'm really happy about this, As i was paying far too much.

I made simply changes

eg)
If you were caling a mobile you had to use the phone for 1 minute or less (or better yet send a text which cost 0p)

called landline numbers in the evening and weekends cost = 0p

If anyone came and wanted to use my phone, i told them it could only call land lines, lol..and would offer them a free text to send.

Just 4 weeks of doing this my bill went down from 100 to 30 pounds a month, which is brilliant. more money to spend on IMPORTANT bills.:T

Thank you MSE for making me money savvy.:j:beer:

your first line intrigued me. I have skytalk and my bill (i virtually only use the phone at night or weekends) so it really only a few pence a month, but what did you mean about texts, can you send texts from a landline, can you elaborate please.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Sky Talk offers free texts?? I didn't know this. Off to check.

(McKneff - you need a handset that allows you to send texts in the first place; most don't)

Edit: Checked, and they are 10p per use.
